Mulling it over, Vivienne finally understood what it meant to be a disposable character.
They were absent from every important plot point involving the main characters, only to be trotted out when the story needed some padding.
After her tirade, Bianca waited for Vivienne to fly off the handle. To her surprise, not only was Vivienne not angry, she was staring at her in a daze again. Feeling let down, Bianca stormed forward. "Vivienne, are you deaf? Didn't you hear me cursing you out?"
Looking at Bianca again, Vivienne only felt that she was as pitiful as herself. At least she had awakened now, but Bianca understood nothing. She wondered if Bianca was also defined by a 'label' like she had been.

Vivienne observed Bianca's expression and, a second later, mirrored it perfectly, retorting just as fiercely, "Bring it on! I'll make you eat your words!"
Cyril glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. Was she learning how to argue on the fly?
