Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 386

The original owner of the Lucifer I was Maximilian Beaufort, a legendary patriarch of the Beaufort family. During his reign, he had sailed the colossal vessel across the globe, treated as untouchable royalty in every port he entered.

When Maximilian was alive, Solenforth's dominance was universally acknowledged as the 'Prince's Era.' But Balthazar never could have predicted that on his very first voyage as the ship's new master, the Beaufort family's untouchable legacy would be utterly humiliated in Athelvia's inner sea.

Ten minutes ago, the Lucifer I had been prepping for its scheduled departure. Without warning, a massive military blockade slammed down on the port, and the entire Merriton naval fleet mobilized to lock them in.

The Lucifer I was over a thousand feet long and weighed an astonishing 250,000 tons. Right now, the mechanical leviathan was trapped at the dock, completely immobilized.

"Boss, Athelvia locked down the ocean without any official provocation. Should we contact the Queen?"

The men gathered in the VIP safe room were all Balthazar's most trusted enforcers. Having their lavish departure abruptly halted by military artillery left them not just furious, but deeply unsettled.

Balthazar casually polished his custom pistol, his expression entirely unbothered. "No need. The Queen wouldn't waste her time on something this trivial. What exactly is their excuse for the blockade?"

His lieutenant bowed his head. "They claim they received intelligence that we're using the cruise liner for human trafficking. They're demanding we drop anchor and submit to a full search."

Balthazar stood up, smoothly sliding the gun into his shoulder holster. "In that case, let them search."

"Understood." The lieutenant instantly caught his boss's drift, straightening up and marching out of the safe room.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere inside the Merriton Port control tower was thick with suffocating tension.

Comms crackled to life, confirming that the Lucifer I had been successfully grounded. Tactical teams were prepping to board.

This entire operation had been executed entirely off the books to avoid an international diplomatic crisis. There was no search warrant.

Julian stood up, his face an mask of cold fury. "The Beauforts are stalling."

Alaric calculated their options in a split second. He cut the comms to the tower and turned to Benedict. "Uncle Benedict, did The Sea Lion make it into the inner sea?"

Benedict nodded. "They've been here. The Shadow Chamber is holding position just outside the port."

"Order the naval fleet to fall back immediately," Alaric commanded, his voice like ice. "Send The Shadow Chamber in."

The official military needed a warrant because they were bound by international treaties. But if the Ravenshire family's private black-ops unit breached the ship, it was an unsanctioned, off-the-books assault. Even if the Beauforts tried to retaliate later, it would be a strictly private war against the Ravenshires.
