Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 401

"My father already discussed it with me," Cyril said calmly. "I want to stay in Merriton City too."

Cyril had planned to remain in Merriton City all along. For one, it had been a long time since he last visited Summer Hollis, and this presented the perfect opportunity. More importantly, he still held Balthazar Beaufort's encrypted files. He needed time to digest the information, and Obsidian Estate had far too many eyes. Operating out of Merriton City gave him the cover he needed.

Caspian didn't suspect a thing. "Alright, since you've made up your mind, we'll arrange it. Once you're feeling better, make sure you call home so I can send someone to pick you up. Oh, and you must be back by next month at the latest. It's Vivienne's birthday."

Cyril smiled and nodded. "I know, Grandpa."

"This is absurd!"

Victoria's face twisted in fury as she flipped the heavy table, sending porcelain and glass shattering across the floor in a chaotic crash.

"Has Dorian lost his damn mind? He let that bastard stay in Merriton City to pay his respects to that bitch!"

Dorian had spent the last three years building his empire in Merriton City. The fact that he was willing to keep Cyril by his side spoke volumes about his sudden change in attitude toward the boy. Victoria knew exactly what it meant, and it drove her into an uncontrollable, frantic rage.

Her hysterical outburst was terrifying to witness. Moira kept her head bowed, too afraid to step closer.

Over the past three years, Victoria's temper had grown increasingly volatile. There was no trace left of the elegant woman who was once considered Athelvia's premier socialite. She acted like an absolute lunatic.

"I have exhausted myself for him! I even tolerated his illegitimate son, and this is how he repays me? Unbelievable."

Victoria snapped her head up, lunged forward, and grabbed a fistful of Moira's hair. She dragged the assistant close, her eyes blazing with pure hatred. "Where is that little bastard?"

Moira's scalp burned, but she didn't dare struggle. She answered carefully, "Caspian allowed him to recuperate in Merriton City, and Mr. Ravenshire has already sent men to escort him back to the villa."

Victoria shot Moira an icy glare and threw her hair aside. She turned to leave, but Moira desperately grabbed her arm.

"Mrs. Ravenshire, you can't go. Caspian gave orders that you must return to Stormhollow with the rest of the family, and he also said..."

Victoria's gaze darkened. "He said what?"

Moira couldn't look her in the eye. "He said the security team will be watching you. You are not allowed to take a single step out of Stormhollow until further notice."

It was a house arrest.

Victoria raised her hand and delivered a vicious slap across Moira's face. "Useless! Where is Dorian? Where is he?"

When someone outlives their usefulness, they are discarded. If Caspian suspected her, Dorian wouldn't be spared either!

Moira kept her head down.

"Are you working for Dorian now?"

Moira said nothing.

Victoria looked up, her expression frigid. "Get the hell out."

"Yes, ma'am." Moira bowed respectfully and backed out of the room without another word.

A chilling smile crept onto Victoria's lips. She elegantly smoothed out her messy hair, looking nothing like the deranged woman from moments ago.

Two sons?

Then what about the one she had choked to death with her own hands all those years ago?

Since Dorian wanted to be heartless, he couldn't blame her for playing dirty.
