Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 408

Just thinking about such a horrific future made Bianca's skin crawl.

Thankfully, things were different now. She was still terrified of fate, but she was no longer afraid to face it head-on.

Vivienne patted her hand, then shrugged.

She couldn't say anything more. Back then, pretending she could see the future was just the fastest way to earn Bianca's absolute trust. Now that Bianca was sixteen and had matured so much, they didn't need to play those games to prove their loyalty to each other.

Bianca was smart. When Vivienne brought up the raiders and then intentionally trailed off about the prophecies, she immediately understood it was a warning she couldn't speak aloud.

They exchanged a look, instantly understanding each other.

Vivienne let out a quiet breath. "Is Talia doing okay? Has anything weird happened lately?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Everything is fine. Oh!" Bianca suddenly remembered something. "Tessa told me my dad actually brought his mistress back to the Whitmore estate. Along with his illegitimate son."

In the original timeline, that woman hadn't dared to step foot in the house until two years after Talia's death. It seemed that since the father knew a reconciliation was impossible, he decided to stop hiding his second family.

Vivienne mulled it over for a moment but couldn't put the pieces together. They quickly shifted topics to school gossip.

After the cafeteria incident, Aurelia had immediately filed a formal complaint with the administration. The school took it seriously. They restricted the film crew's shooting hours and sectioned off a specific zone, strictly forbidding them from disrupting the students.

It was rare to see Aurelia actually show a spine.

They chatted back and forth until the sky grew dark. Bianca quickly excused herself. Tonight at 8:00 PM, the political channel was live-broadcasting the latest proposals from the nominated officials, and she needed to be glued to the TV.

Vivienne had slept the entire day and felt sluggish. After seeing Bianca out, boredom set in again, so she decided to take Little Stray for a walk.

"Wesley?" Vivienne's eyes narrowed. She spun on her heel. "I'm going to go find him."

Alaric was leaning against the windowsill. He had been reading "Discourses on Livy" for ten years, but this was the first time he couldn't absorb a single word.

He had spent the entire afternoon lost in thought. The only thing echoing in his mind was his grandfather's parting advice.

"Tell her that you didn't abandon her and Cyril out there. Tell her that you did a good job this time."
