Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 430

Caspian looked up at the people gathered in the courtyard and remained silent for a long time.

Vivienne suddenly felt her eyes prick with tears. This was probably the very last thing Grandpa wanted to see. Internal family strife—no matter who ended up getting hurt—was just another knife in Grandpa's heart.

"Dad!"

Suddenly, an enraged voice boomed from outside the courtyard. Leander Ravenshire stormed into Northwing Court, his face flushed with fury, his swift strides carrying him straight through the Conservatory.

"Dad, I heard Benedict mobilized The Shadow Chamber, injured a teacher, and almost drove Lara to her death?"

Evelyn wailed, grabbing Leander's arm. Furious, she pointed at Benedict. "Leander, he strung Lara up from a helicopter and paraded her around! He knows perfectly well that Lara is terrified of heights. He was trying to kill my daughter, Leander!"

Consumed by rage, Leander charged toward the flower trellis, snatched the whip from Jasper's hand, and prepared to strike.

Bianca's face fell. She darted into the Conservatory and threw herself in front of Benedict. "Uncle Leander, Grandpa only ordered Jasper to carry out the punishment. He didn't say you could hit him."

Leander's face darkened. "Get out of the way."

Aurelia snapped out of her daze. Scrambling to her feet, she dashed into the Conservatory and stood defensively in front of Bianca. "You're the one who needs to get out, Uncle Leander! Even if my dad made a mistake, with Grandpa here, it is not your place to overstep."

Leander paused, caught off guard. Aurelia's personality had always been weak and easily bullied. Since when did she have such a spine?

Evelyn burned with resentment and pointed at Aurelia, cursing loudly. "You heartless little wretch! All those times Lara thought of you whenever she had something nice—she treated you like a real sister. And this is how you repay her?"

Aurelia lifted her chin, her expression unflinching. "I don't quite understand what you mean, Aunt Evelyn! Lara treated me well? Yes, under her kindness, I learned just how pathetic my very existence was. Thanks to her reminders, I lived every single day in guilt and self-blame. It was a suffocating wave of despair."

Benedict's eyes widened in shock as he looked back at Aurelia.
