Josslyn scoffed. "Then you're the one who's dead meat."

Mina instantly stopped crying. "I have a brother! My brother is super powerful! You just wait. I'm calling him right now. He's going to beat you until you beg for mercy!"

Josslyn chuckled. "Your brother?"

Mina flailed wildly, her arms windmilling like a crazed propeller. "That's right! Are you too scared to let me make a phone call?"

"Fine. I was just going to teach you a lesson, but if you want to drag your whole family down with you, be my guest." With that, he released his grip on her collar. "Call him."

Mina sniffled and made a dramatic show of reaching into her pockets.

"Run!" She suddenly snapped into sheer survival mode, taking off like a shot and dragging Vivienne along with her.

Josslyn's eyebrow twitched violently. This drunk little psycho was actually playing him for a fool?

The two girls hadn't made it more than five feet before the screech of tires tore through the air. A cherry-red Ferrari roared out of the darkness, drifting sideways to block their escape path.

Two ridiculously dressed guys hopped out of the car. "Young Mr. Keating, what kind of game are we playing here?"

Josslyn sneered, stalking slowly toward Mina. "You've got some nerve. Think you can pull a fast one on me?"

Mina's eyes instantly filled with tears again. She beat her chest in utter agony, wailing into the night. "I just remembered! I don't have a brother either! Nobody loves me anymore! Nothing! I've lost my brother too!"
