Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 73

Cyril glanced at her, barely managing to suppress the urge to say, *You should probably read a few more books first.*

The old man was very pleased. He patted Cyril’s shoulder and pushed him toward Vivienne. “Go on, get started.”

The push was surprisingly strong. Caught off guard, Cyril stumbled forward. When he finally steadied himself, he looked up and met a pair of bright, captivating eyes.

They were the color of a cloudless sky, possessed of a clarity that seemed to hold a world of their own.

Cyril nonchalantly averted his gaze.

Just then, Cedric walked in from the garden. “Sir, Mr. Damien Whitmore is here. He says he’s here to take Ms. Talia and Miss Bianca back to the Whitmore estate.”

Caspian’s smile faded. It was only because the children were present that he restrained himself from saying something harsh. “I won’t see him.”

Cedric understood. As he was about to leave to relay the message, Caspian called him back.

“Send someone to Echostone House and let them know. He is Bianca’s father, after all. It wouldn’t do to make things too ugly. Let Talia decide for herself whether she wants to go back or not.”

“Yes, sir.” Cedric nodded and left Northwing Court.

Vivienne looked up at Caspian and gently tugged on his sleeve. “Grandpa~”

Caspian forced himself to cheer up, a smile returning to his face. “It’s nothing. Come on, let’s continue.”

Vivienne nodded, placed the ceramic pot on the flower stand, and examined it from all angles. She even pinched the soil with a serious expression.

Seeing her act so professionally, Caspian shook his head with a doting smile.

Vivienne looked up and pointed at the seedling on the stand. “It’s fertilizer burn.”

Caspian was stunned. He had thought the child was just fooling around, but he never expected her to hit the nail on the head.

Vivienne explained, “A newly repotted seedling needs time to adapt to its new environment. To stimulate root growth, you should avoid overwatering and over-fertilizing. You should observe it and keep the top inch of soil dry. This will encourage the roots to grow deeper in search of water. The solution is simple: do nothing. Just let it get more sun and grow freely.”

Vivienne smiled. After Alaric had kicked her out of the estate, she had lived alone in Onyx Manor. When she was down and out, everyone abandoned her. Besides Bianca, who came to pick fights with her every few days, all her former high-society friends had cut ties.

Bored and lonely, she started gardening. At first, everything she planted died, but she slowly got the hang of it.

But this wasn’t something she could tell Caspian. Vivienne tilted her chin up proudly. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Grandpa. I’ll show you more little by little.”

Caspian was grinning from ear to ear. He was about to praise her some more when he saw Cedric enter the garden with a grim expression. Caspian’s face hardened as he reached for the cane by the flower stand.

By then, Cedric had reached them.

“Sir…” Cedric began, but trailed off, hesitant to speak with Vivienne and Cyril present.

Caspian’s expression was calm. “Go on. We’re all family here.”

Cedric lowered his voice. “Sir, Mr. Damien and Ms. Talia are fighting at Echostone House!”
