The boy swallowed hard. "In... in her room."
"Go get her."
"Yes," the boy nodded meekly, limping out of the room as he clutched his knee.
Kael looked at Preston in confusion. "Why are you dragging her into this?"
"A murder game is much more entertaining with a higher body count," Preston replied smoothly.
Kael frowned. "Preston, don't take this too far. These aren't just random nobodies from the dark web. You could end up burning yourself alive if you cross the line."
Preston shrugged indifferently. "Are you playing or not?"
Kael hesitated. "I don't play murder games. I have my own interests."
He considered his own pursuits far more sophisticated than Preston's twisted mind games. He preferred to conquer women.
Every woman he had set his sights on had eventually fallen into his bed—except for Isolde Blackthorne.
The very thought of it drove him crazy. But now that Isolde had the backing of the Blackthorne family, he could only look, not touch.
However, with everything collapsing tonight, he might just get the perfect opportunity.
"Preston, you wanted to see me?"
Jade walked into the room, looking completely clueless.
Preston had extended a very polite invitation, telling her they were playing a massive game of "Cops and Robbers."
He had cast himself as the kidnapper, Jade as the hostage, and the Ravenshire brothers as the police. Jade, believing every word, had suspected nothing.
Putting on a grave expression, Preston said, "Jade, I asked you here because there's been an emergency."
Originally, he had planned to lure the girls in one by one before letting the bandits loose, but the disruption forced him to adapt his game.
Jade's face instantly paled. "What happened, Preston? Don't scare me."
