Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 77

As soon as Frederick and Damien stepped into the main hall, they noticed two cups of hot tea on the table beside the main chairs.

Damien found it odd as well. He stepped forward, lifted a teacup, and sniffed it. His expression changed to one of surprise. “Dad, it’s the reserve blend. It hasn’t been touched.”

Frederick’s brow furrowed slightly, a trace of sarcasm crossing his face. “It seems your esteemed father-in-law anticipated our visit today.”

Damien immediately panicked. “Then… what do we do? Do you think Mr. Ravenshire knows I told Bianca to hide on purpose?”

“Shut up.” Frederick’s eyes narrowed, his sharp gaze sweeping across the main hall. Once he was certain they were alone, he let out a cold laugh and strolled toward one of the main seats as if he owned the place.

“Don’t worry. Bianca has always been raised in the Whitmore family and is particularly close to you, her father. Nothing will go wrong.”

Hearing this, Damien’s expression relaxed considerably. He looked down at the teacup in his hand. “Dad, Caspian is a cunning old fox. Maybe we should just pour this tea out?”

Frederick glanced at him. “Bring it here.”

Damien didn’t dare disobey. He quickly presented the cup with both hands. “Be careful, Dad. It’s hot.”

Frederick was calm and composed, exuding an air of self-satisfaction as if he had everything under control. “What’s there to be afraid of? This is Obsidian Estate. It’s not like Caspian would dare to poison us here, would he?”

Lifting the lid of the teacup, Frederick took a deep, theatrical sniff of the fragrant steam, a meaningful smile on his face. “In our circles, no matter how fiercely we compete, the fact that I’ve come to his door means he, Caspian, wouldn't dare dream of skipping the pleasantries.” With that, he took a smug sip.

Damien looked on with an expression of profound admiration. “You’re incredible, Dad.”

Even Caspian rarely indulged in this tea. Damien savored a small, delicious sip, though he couldn't quite discern the flavor, and then took another.

“What happened?” Caspian asked Cyril, his expression grim.

Cyril shook his head. “I don’t know. I woke up this morning and Victor told me Bianca was missing, so I came to Northwing Court to ask you about it, Grandpa. But as soon as I got to the door, I saw Elise lying here. She has a head injury. I’ve already had someone contact Dr. Cole.”

Caspian nodded and patted Cyril’s shoulder. “Good boy.”

With that, Caspian glanced into the courtyard, his eyes cold and hard, all traces of his usual kindness gone.

“Cedric, go and get Jasper.”

Cedric’s expression flickered. “Yes, sir.”

Caspian raised his arm and placed it before Cyril. “Cyril, help your grandfather inside.”
