Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 78

Cyril nodded and took Caspian’s arm with both hands, matching his pace as they crossed the threshold into Northwing Court.

Victor, standing to the side, was stunned by the scene. When had Mr. Cyril become so favored? After a moment, he quickly hurried to follow them.

By now, twenty minutes had passed since Frederick’s arrival. Damien was getting antsy and wanted to step outside for a smoke. He had just put one foot out of the hall when he saw Caspian entering the corridor with a young man.

Damien quickly extinguished his cigarette and turned back into the main hall.

“Dad, Mr. Ravenshire is here.”

Frederick, who had been resting with his eyes closed, slowly opened them, his gaze fixed intently on the entrance.

A moment later, two figures appeared at the door. Supported by Cyril, Caspian stepped into the main hall, walking through the scattered sunlight.

Frederick’s thumb stroked his worry stone as he slowly rose to his feet. The instant Caspian looked up, Frederick’s expression instantly shifted to a broad, welcoming smile.

“Hahaha, it’s been too long, Caspian. You look as distinguished as ever.”

Caspian maintained a polite facade, his gaze sweeping over the teacups on the table. “I’m getting old, and my legs aren’t what they used to be. My apologies for keeping you waiting, Frederick.”

“Nonsense. I’m the one who’s imposed on you by showing up unannounced.”

Caspian offered a faint smile. “You flatter me, Frederick. I don’t deserve such courtesy.”

Frederick’s own smile faded slightly. His gaze swept over Cyril, pausing for a moment before turning to Damien. “You worthless fool, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and apologize to your wife’s father!”

The words were a blatant insult, as good as spitting in the Whitmores’ faces. For a few seconds, Frederick was so angry he forgot to breathe.

Outside the hall, Talia’s hand, holding Bianca’s, was trembling.

Bianca, her face covered in mosquito bites, looked on with a complex expression. This was the first time she had ever seen her mother cry.

Talia closed her eyes, fighting to keep her voice steady. “Go on in.”

“Oh.” Bianca lowered her head and squeezed Talia’s hand tightly.
