Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 82

Her words were like a bomb dropped in deep water, causing everyone’s expression to shatter. Even Cyril was stunned for a few seconds, turning to look at her in utter surprise.

Caspian’s expression grew serious, the look he gave Frederick now charged with a dangerous undercurrent.

Frederick sensed the shift and swallowed hard. “Caspian, you can’t possibly believe…”

“Why shouldn’t I?” Caspian retorted. “She’s just a child. If she hadn’t personally heard you plotting, she could never invent such a lie, even if you asked her to.”

“Caspian!” Frederick was about to explain when a realization hit him. His eyes widened, and his expression turned sour. “I see! I was outplayed. Today, my skills were no match for yours. I admit defeat. Farewell.”

“Dad!” Damien clutched his leg, looking at the Ravenshire family with resentment.

Frederick’s face twitched with anger. He flung Damien’s hand away and turned to leave, only to see Bianca standing behind Talia. Frederick paused, his gaze complex. “Bianca, come home with Grandpa. Have you forgotten what I told you? The Whitmore family is your home.”

Bianca’s eyes were red and swollen from crying, making her look like an abandoned puppy.

She didn’t know how to choose.

She didn’t want to choose.

She didn’t understand the schemes and plots. All she knew was that she wanted her mom, dad, grandpa, and grandfather to be okay and to be with her.

Seeing Bianca’s hesitation, Frederick closed his eyes and shook his head, his voice choked with emotion. “Grandpa came to take you home. Are you really going to doubt your grandpa and your dad because of a few words from an outsider?”

“No, that’s not it.” Bianca shook her head, unconsciously letting go of Talia’s hand and taking a step forward. “Grandpa, I…”

Damien dragged his injured leg forward and grabbed her shoulders, his eyes filled with angry disbelief. “Bianca, did someone threaten you? You don’t mean that, right? Tell Dad! Tell me!”

Talia, furious, shoved him away. “Damien! That’s enough! You’re scaring her.” Then, filled with heartache, Talia hugged Bianca and looked her over. “Are you scared?”

Bianca shook her head, using her small, black-polished nails to gently wipe the tears from Talia’s face.

“Mom, I’m not crying anymore, so you shouldn’t cry either.”

Talia’s expression froze, and then her emotions suddenly broke. “I’m sorry. Mom didn't protect you. I’m so sorry… Bianca, I’m sorry…”

Bianca was silent for a moment before turning to Damien, her voice choked. “Dad, do you know? It’s so cold in the woods behind the house at night. Even in the summer, it’s cold. It’s so dark, and I was so scared. I was afraid of snakes and bugs, and… and those stupid, disgusting mosquitoes. They just wouldn't stop biting me.”
