Chapter 255 Blushing at Every Little Thing
But staying quiet felt rude.
She had to ask, “What were you thinking about?”
The elevator kept descending, and no one else got on.
Julian smiled. “I was thinking about why you can’t stop blushing.”
Quinn thought. Just as I expected! I knew he wouldn’t say anything proper. I didn’t want to blush either! But I just couldn’t help it.
She denied it anyway, “I wasn’t…”
Julian said softly, “You might want to control it.”
Control what? Quinn didn’t understand.
Julian went on, “Because when I see you blush… I can’t help myself. I can’t help wanting to kiss you.”
Heat exploded across Quinn’s face.
Flustered and defensive, she snapped, “S–stop saying that!”
“Alright, alright, I’ll stop,” Julian said quickly. “Don’t get me wrong. I’m not some shameless guy. I just-
He just couldn’t help himself.
But he wouldn’t overstep.
The more he liked her, the more careful he was.
Before he could finish, the elevator stopped at the fifth floor, and some people stepped in.
The two of them stayed silent until they reached the first floor and walked out.
Quinn thought she could head back once she’d seen him downstairs, but Julian said, “Want to walk a little?”
Quinn didn’t really want to.
Walking together like this felt exactly like a couple on a date.
“The doctor said you should get some light exercise,” Julian told her.
He even brought up the doctor.
Quinn had no choice but to walk with him around the landscaped path.
“Would you want to go out this weekend?” Julian asked.
Quinn couldn’t help saying, “Do you really have that much time?”

She didn’t need anyone to tell her–Julian was obviously extremely busy.
Lucy had even said he was swamped with work, especially around the holidays. Sometimes he flew abroad and stayed away for over ten days.
“I make time,” he said. “If it’s something with you, I’ll always find time.”
He spoke like that so naturally, like it was second nature.
Quinn didn’t stand a chance against it.
She thought for a moment and said, “Are you only free because you’re pursuing me? What if… what if you get a girlfriend later? Will you be too busy to spend time with her?”
“Who’s this girlfriend? There is no one else. Only you.”
Quinn’s face burned again.
I feel so silly, blushing at every little thing.
But I really can’t control it.
“Of course not. Once I have a girlfriend, I’ll make even more time for her. Otherwise, what if she leaves me?”
Quinn felt even more flustered.
“I–I should go back inside,” she said.
“I’ll walk you up.”
“I just came down to see you off,” Quinn said. “I
go up by myself.”
“Can’t you tell? I only asked you to walk me down so I could spend more time with you. Walking you back is the same–I don’t feel comfortable letting you go alone, and I don’t want to part with you so soon.”
Quinn asked him, “Have you really never dated before? How are you so good at this?”
“Good at what?” Julian blinked. “Is that what people call sweet talk? But I was only being honest. I’ve never been in a relationship. I never had the time… or the interest. If I hadn’t met you, I still wouldn’t.”
Quinn thought. There he went again. Is he just naturally gifted at this?
As it turned out, Julian was naturally gifted at quite a few things.
But Quinn didn’t know that yet.
True to his word, Julian walked her all the way back upstairs. He still didn’t want to say goodbye, so he kept the conversation going.
“This weekend, I’ll take you… and Lucy out for a bit. We can go to a wellness center and try their food. Does that sound okay?”

Lucy huffed and typed back, “Julian, I was bathing with Quinn just now. Only just saw your message.”
As soon as she sent it, Julian replied right away, “You were bathing with Quinn?”
Lucy wrote back, “My leg can’t get wet. Quinn helped me. It’s no big deal. We used to bathe together all the time at school!”
Julian didn’t reply.
Lucy typed carefully, “Jealous, Julian?”
This time, he answered, “You want to lose your allowance? Don’t call me brother ever again if you bathe with her like that!”
Lucy huffed again.
This isn’t just jealousy–it is pure possessiveness.
Julian had messaged her to ask for help convincing Quinn to have dinner with them over the weekend.
Lucy took on the mission.
Quinn’s guess had been right. Rosalie came home that weekend.
Rosalie was completely done with Chase by now.
He hadn’t contacted her in days.
She was more than happy to have
me peace.
She’d already told Julian she was returning and set a time to meet him.
It was clear he was looking forward to it.
Rosalie was too.
She’d only caught a distant glimpse of Julian once, a long time ago.
She couldn’t find any photos of him online, but she’d once seen some candid shots in a group chat for wealthy heirs.
Julian was not only handsome but also carried an extraordinary, noble air.
Even just in height and looks, he left Chase in the dust.
Rosalie thought the best decision she’d ever made was refusing to give up for years, until she’d finally won Julian over.
