Chapter 277 A Question of Feelings
Where had it all gone wrong?
How had I ever been so sure the man I’d been talking to was Julian?
In a way, Rosalie wasn’t entirely to blame for the mix–up.

Geoffrey had his own vanity too. He’d attended events with Julian and dropped little hints that made her think he held a far higher position than he actually did.
Compared to ordinary people, Geoffrey had already climbed well above his class–even many wealthy heirs knew who he was, as one of Julian’s top secretaries.
But he was still nothing next to Julian Sterling himself.
No one had guessed Rosalie’s ambition ran that deep.
Her target had been Julian all along.
Rosalie thought she’d calmed Geoffrey down, but Geoffrey was careful, observant, and deeply suspicious.
He worked in a company where he had to get along with everyone. He’d seen every kind of scheme.
Rosalie’s little act was completely transparent to him.
Still, he didn’t want the feelings he’d invested over the years to go to waste.
He wanted to see just what game she was trying to play.
Rosalie’s real plan was to use Geoffrey to get close to Julian.
She could think of no other way to cross paths with a man of Julian’s status.
People like him were completely out of reach for someone like her.
So she had no choice but to keep stringing Geoffrey along.
She felt utterly humiliated.
She didn’t even care for Chase, let alone some regular working guy.
Even a high–paid executive was still just an employee.
In Rosalie’s eyes, corporate executives and cashiers were the same–none of them were good enough for
her.
Only a man like Julian could command her full respect.
What was Geoffrey compared to him?
The thought that she couldn’t yell at him, but instead had to flatter and agree with him made her sick.

Chapter 277 A Question of Feelings
The man doesn’t measure up to Julian in any way.
He isn’t even fit to clean Julian’s shoes.
But I can’t afford to offend him.
Once I finally win Julian over. I will make sure Geoffrey is fired.
I will humiliate him completely.
For now, though. I can only use him and hold out hope of meeting Julian.
Meanwhile, Julian was still at Lucy’s apartment.
Once they finished talking about Rosalie, Julian wanted to drop the subject entirely.
He’d never even met her, yet he already detested her.
She might have been Quinn’s sister, but she was nothing like Quinn.
She was cruel, fake, and had spent years bullying and belittling Quinn.
How could any woman be so vicious?
Just the thought that she’d believed she was in a relationship with him made Julian’s skin crawl.
His heart belonged to Quinn already.
Even if it hadn’t, he would never have been interested in someone like Rosalie.
On top of that, Rosalie had pretended to be calm, gentle, and uninterested in material things.
Julian knew plenty of wealthy socialites who played that same act.
They did nothing for him.

If he’d wanted that kind of woman, he could have married any number of suitable candidates years ago.
He never would have waited this long.
He had no desire to discuss the woman any longer.
What he wanted was to hear Quinn admit her feelings for him, out loud.
He looked straight at her and asked, “Quinn… you were hurt today because of me, weren’t you?”
