“Honestly, I don’t know why,” Julian said. “But that’s just how I feel. And it’s not easy for anyone to catch my eye. This might be the only time in my life. Why wouldn’t I treasure her?”

“When you put it that way. I actually kind of envy you,” Zeke sighed. “Why do I end up crushing on people so easily?”

No one could answer that.

Julian wasn’t good at giving pep talks, but he promised he would support him.

Zeke was actually very capable among men his age.
