Chapter 282 Morning Flowers
Zeke fell silent, completely at a loss for words.
How is Julian acting all lovey–dovey when they aren’t even together?
What kind of superpower is that?
It is unbearable.
He stood up. “I’m heading home.”
Julian frowned in confusion. “Aren’t you going to drink more?”
“Drink what? I’m already full.”
Julian asked. “You said you like someone. Are you planning to ask her out?”
“Of course I am,” Zeke said.
“Maybe you can give me some tips on how to court someone.”

Zeke wanted nothing to do with him. “Your ‘courting‘ is just showing off. I’m the one who doesn’t even know if I have a chance.”
“I can’t be sure Quinn will say yes to me in the end either.”
“Can you at least wipe that smile off your face before you say that?” Zeke muttered. “I never knew you smiled so much.”
Julian touched the corner of his mouth in surprise. “Do I?”
He definitely did.
He had to admit–he was in an absurdly good mood today.
Zeke left in a huff.
Julian headed back to his own place.
Staring at his huge, empty house, he felt cold and lonely for the first time.
I wonder when Quinn will come live with me.
But we aren’t even together yet. Things won’t move that fast.
Still, I can daydream a little.
No, I shouldn’t.
Otherwise I’ll end up taking another cold shower.
Early the next morning, Quinn heard a knock at the door.

Lucy was still having trouble walking, so Quinn quickly got dressed and opened it.
A delivery man stood outside, holding a bouquet of fresh flowers. “Sign here, please.”
Quinn froze.
She brought the flowers inside and found the card tucked between the petals.
The handwriting was elegant, bold, and beautiful.
It was from Julian.
A soft, warm smile spread across her face.
As she admired the flowers, her phone rang.
She answered.
“Did you get the flowers? Do you like them?”
Quinn hummed quietly in response.
Julian had gone to the flower shop first thing in the morning to pick them out himself before sending them
over.
“How are you feeling today? Any discomfort?”
Quinn hurried to reply, “Much better. I’m fine now.”
Hearing her voice back to normal put Julian at ease.
“I’ll come by at eleven. We can have lunch together, if that’s okay.””
Quinn spoke softly, “Alright.”
After she hung up, she touched her cheek–it was burning hot.
Just a few words from Julian and I am blushing.
I feel a little silly.
It’s just a conversation–why am I so flustered?
What if we get even closer later?
No, I can’t think about that.
The mere thought made her want to hide from embarrassment.
Quinn calmed herself down, took a few photos of the flowers, then got ready to do something else.
Her phone rang again. She glanced at the screen.

Chapter 282 Morning Flowers
It was an unknown number.
It was probably Chase again.
Ever since their divorce, Chase had been using different numbers to contact her.
But Quinn never replied.
She was about to set her phone down when she saw it was Elaine’s number.
She answered.
“Quinn, come home.”
Quinn asked, “Is something wrong?”
“Your sister’s upset. She won’t come out of her room,” Elaine sighed. “Come talk to her.”
Quinn figured Rosalie was miserable because she couldn’t accept the truth.
After all, she’d spent so long thinking the man she’d been talking to and dating was Julian.
