With Rosalie’s arrogant, high–and–mighty personality, there was no way she could swallow that.

Quinn thought. How am I supposed to talk her down?

She gathered her things and headed to the Lane Villa.

Elaine looked exhausted. “Your sister’s locked herself in her room. She didn’t even eat dinner last night.“.

Quinn said, “I’ll go check on her.”

She expected Rosalie wouldn’t open the door, but after she spoke a single word, it swung open.

Rosalie hadn’t slept all night.

She was already jet–lagged, and with her heart aching, there was no way she could rest.

She’d bragged left and right that her boyfriend was some big shot named Julian.

Luckily, she hadn’t told their parents his full name.

But she had told Quinn.

She had to figure out how to cover this up.

She opened the door for Quinn, her face surprisingly calm, not a hint of despair. “You’re here.”

Once Quinn stepped in, she shut the door.

Quinn asked, “How are you? Mom said you haven’t eaten.”

Rosalie sat on the edge of her bed. “Just adjusting to the time difference. I’m fine. Mom worries too much.”
