Chapter 84 The Unexpected Visitor
“Well, now you know,” Quinn said. “So can you help me ask him for his measurements?”
“Fine.” Lucy agreed reluctantly.
She immediately sent Julian a message.
Julian had decided at the last minute to stay for the IV treatment, which forced him to postpone meeting.
When Lucy sent the message, he was still in that meeting and had not checked his phone.
After the meeting ended, he finally looked at his messages.
The first thing he noticed was the transfer Lucy had sent back.
The money he had given her had been returned in full. He declined the transfer and texted her.
Julian sent a message, “What’s going on?”
By that time, Quinn and Lucy had already returned home.
Lucy did not have anything scheduled that afternoon, so she told Quinn to rest properly.
She was sitting at her computer organizing files when her phone buzzed.
She picked it up and saw that the message was from her cousin.
Her fingers started flying across the keyboard.
Julian soon saw her reply.

Lucy sent a message, “Seven, send me your measurements. Quinn wants to make you some clothes. Oh, and she said she likes gentle and refined guys. So you don’t have a chance.”
Julian immediately returned the money transfer. Then he replied, “I’m not gentle or refined?”
Lucy sent back a smiling emoji.
She quickly typed again, “Come on, you’re putting me in a tough spot. Quinn isn’t in a good place right now. Even if you want to pursue her, you should wait until after her divorce.”
Julian replied, “Take good care of her.”
After putting down his phone, Julian frowned.
Gentle?
Refined?
The few times he had met Quinn, how exactly had he not been gentle or refined?

A man who had no idea just how powerful his presence could be fell into deep thought.
Lucy sent another message, but Julian did not respond. When Quinn woke up from her nap, she felt much
better.
She walked out of the room and Lucy spoke immediately, “Quinn, I asked Seven for his measurements. but he’s ignoring me.”
Quinn looked confused. “Why?”
“I have no idea.” Lucy said helplessly. “So what now?”
Quinn sighed. “I guess I’ll ask him myself.”
She still needed to go back to the Lane estate later, so she did not stay long. After getting ready, she headed downstairs.
What she did not expect was to see Julian standing there.
At first Quinn had her head down while adjusting her scarf and did not notice the people nearby.
When she looked up, she saw a familiar looking bodyguard standing beside a long luxury car.
The bodyguard opened the rear door.
A pair of impossibly long legs stepped out.

Quinn’s eyes instinctively followed those long legs upward until she reached Julian’s face.
The man whose features looked flawless from every angle.
Her pupils shrank slightly, surprise flashing in her eyes.
Julian was wearing glasses.
When he was not wearing glasses, his entire presence felt distant and unreadable. He carried a cold elegance that kept people at arm’s length, and the quiet power around him made others hesitate to approach.
His gaze often held a cool sense of authority.
But with the glasses on, something about him felt different. He looked more refined, almost scholarly, less like the chairman of a powerful corporation and more like a professor at an elite university.
A vivid image suddenly formed in Quinn’s mind, a young, striking professor standing at the front of a lecture hall, dressed in a simple white shirt and black trousers, his long legs resting casually beside the podium.
One hand casually in his pocket as he leaned down to glance at his notes.
When he wrote on the board, his posture relaxed, the lines of muscle in his arms clearly defined beneath his rolled sleeves.

A man who normally radiated power now seemed wrapped in a layer of quiet elegance.
The thin gold frame of his glasses caught the light, sending a soft reflection into Quinn’s eyes.
“Quinn,” he called.
Julian walked toward her with long, confident strides. Quinn instinctively wanted to step back, but she forced herself to stay where she was, pushing down the wave of discomfort rising in her chest.
Fortunately, he stopped about six or seven feet away.
When he said her name, it sounded so natural, so familiar, as if the distance between them had already disappeared.
Quinn’s entire body tensed with caution, and Julian noticed it immediately.
He spoke again without hesitation.
“Is Lucy home?” he asked. “I need to talk to her about something.”
The tension in Quinn’s shoulders visibly eased.
She even gave a polite smile.
“She’s upstairs,” Quinn said. “You can go up.”
“Alright.” Julian looked at her again.
“Are you heading out?”
“Yeah,” she replied. “I have something to take care of.”

“How are you getting there?” Julian asked. “Do you want a ride?”
“No!” Quinn blurted out instantly.
Julian simply looked at her quietly. Quinn hurriedly brushed her hair back and lowered her gaze, avoiding his eyes.
“Thank you, Mr. Sterling,” she said quickly. “I should get going.”
“Wait a second.” His voice made her body freeze.
She slowly turned around. “Is there something else, Mr. Sterling?”
At that moment, Julian almost wanted to take the glasses off his nose and throw them away.
They clearly were not helping at all. He spoke again, deliberately softening his tone.
“Lucy asked me for my measurements earlier. Did you ask her to do that?”
“Yes,” Quinn admitted.

Since the topic had come up, she asked directly.
“Would it be convenient for you to send them to me, Mr. Sterling? I’ll finish the clothes as soon as possible.”
Julian shook his head slightly.
“The last time my measurements were taken was about six months ago,” he said. “I’ve been working out a lot more recently, so they might have changed.”
He looked at her calmly. “Quinn, it would probably be better if you measured me yourself.”
