Chapter 95 A New Beginning
Veronica smiled. “Your wife is lucky. Not many women end up with a husband like you.”

Then she looked at Quinn. “Harold has always had that reputation in the industry. Everyone says he’s the perfect husband. Totally devoted to his wife.”
Quinn smiled softly. “Growing old with someone you truly love, that kind of relationship is beautiful.”
Harold’s smile grew warmer. “You’ll both find that kind of love someday”
He turned to Quinn. “Why don’t we go over the design details for a bit? Veronica, if you’re busy, you don’t have to stay.”
Veronica shook her head. “I’m free today. I’ll sit in.”
Harold nodded. “My schedule is pretty packed too, but design work takes time. Sometimes we need a few rounds before everything feels right. I’ll probably need to bother Quinn quite a bit later on.”
Veronica’s eyes lit up. “Does that mean you’re officially choosing Quinn?”
“Yes.” Harold smiled, “I’m confident she can handle it.”
They began discussing the design.
More than an hour later, Harold answered a phone call and had to leave.
Quinn was thrilled. She was also a little excited, because the payment Harold offered was incredibly generous,
“Veronica, tomorrow dinner’s on me,” Quinn said with a grin. “You and Lucy are coming. Big celebration.”
Veronica laughed. “I’ll hold you to that.”
Quinn waved. “Drive safe. I need to stop by Adele’s shop.”
Veronica offered to drive her, but Quinn declined and called a rideshare instead. Soon she arrived at Adele’s shop.
Quinn’s cold had almost completely cleared up today, and she had called ahead before coming.
Adele was delighted when she saw her. The two sat down and chatted.
After a while, Quinn brought up her divorce.
Adele looked shocked. “Divorce? Have you really thought it through?”
Quinn didn’t want to repeat the awful things Chase had done. Mostly because she didn’t want Adele worrying.
She simply said, “He doesn’t love me. We’ve been married three years, and he’s been in love with someone else the whole time.”

Finished.
Adele’s brows furrowed. “That’s outrageous.”
She looked genuinely angry. Quinn quickly said, “Adele, I’m okay. I’ve already let it go. That’s why I want the divorce, Back then I loved him so much I thought I could endure anything.”
Adele took her hand.
“Quinn, you’re kind and gentle. But sometimes when you keep lowering yourself, people start thinking it’s okay to walk all over you.”
She patted Quinn’s hand gently.
“Every woman, whether she’s rich or not, whether she’s beautiful or ordinary, deserves to feel like a princess. Being a princess isn’t about a crown. It’s a way you choose to live.
“If you treat yourself like a princess, people won’t treat you like the housekeeper.
“If you believe you deserve to suffer quietly, why would anyone bother respecting you? They’ll just keep pushing.”
She sighed.
“This world can be cruel. Kind people often get taken advantage of. Everyone has selfish instincts. Men especially. Truly perfect kindness doesn’t exist. So the most important thing is learning to love yourself first.”
Adele gently wiped the tears from Quinn’s cheeks. Her face was full of warmth.
“Quinn, I support your decision to divorce. You just made a wrong turn once. Your life is still long ahead of you. Don’t worry about what other people say. What matters is living your own life well. Do you understand?”
Quinn nodded firmly. “I understand, Adele, I’ll take better care of myself.”
She leaned forward and hugged her.
“Thank you.”
Quinn didn’t leave until after dinner.
Once she was gone, Adele picked up the phone and made a call.
When the call connected, she said, “Still working? Do you have time to come by and see this old lady for a bit?”
Julian rubbed the bridge of his nose. His voice carried a hint of exhaustion. “What’s going on?”
“You mentioned having a gown made for your mom last time,” Adele said. “There are a few details we should go over
“You already know her measurements and preferences,” Julian replied. “Just make it how you think is best.”

“Well,” Adele said slowly. “Quinn actually gave me a suggestion earlier. Since she happened to be here. I thought maybe you’d like to come over and talk it through together.”
“I’m almost done with work anyway” Julian stood up. “I’ll head over now.”
Adele chuckled. “Didn’t you just say I could handle it myself?”
Julian grabbed his jacket, his steps already quickening. “We’ll talk when I get there.”
After the call ended. Adele burst out laughing.
Julian arrived quickly.
Adele greeted him. “You’re here. Sit,”
Julian came in alone. He took off his coat and hung it by the door. His eyes had already scanned the entire shop, but he didn’t see the person he was hoping to see.
Adele pretended not to notice.
“It’s pretty late.” she said casually. “Were you still working at the office?”
Julian walked over and sat beside her, his long legs stretching out slightly. He nodded. “Just finished.”
Adele handed him a sketch. “Look here. What do you think about adding a small pendant detail?”
Julian barely glanced at it. “Looks good.”
“I asked you here for opinions,” Adele said. “You can’t just say everything looks good.”
Julian finally spoke again.
“You said Quinn suggested something earlier. What was it?”
He paused. “Where is she?”
Adele couldn’t hold back her laughter. “So you’re not pretending anymore?”
Julian rubbed his nose, a little awkward. “Pretending about what?”
“If I hadn’t mentioned Quinn,” Adele teased, “would you have come at all?”
