Chapter 98 False Accusation
“That’s ridiculous,” Charles said at once. “How is Chase some kind of danger?”
He let out a short breath.

“I’m not trying to brag just because he’s my son, but Chase is already more accomplished than most men his age. Yes, he messed up. But who hasn’t made mistakes? If you divorce him, you’re not going to find another man like him.”
Quirn’s voice stayed calm.
“That’s not something you need to worry about.”
She paused, then asked, “You said you would give me an explanation. Is this it?”
Charles sighed.
“Quinn, sometimes you have to learn to let things go. I’m an elder apologizing to you like this, promising you he’ll change. Can’t you give him one more chance?”
Quinn’s tone turned colder.
because “When something doesn’t happen to you personally, of course it’s easy to say that. I respect you you’re older than me. But if you keep ignoring what’s right and wrong, then I won’t hold back anymore. I’ll file for divorce. When that happens, I’ll tell the judge everything Chase did. Every single detail.”
Charles frowned deeply. “Quinn, do you really have to push things this far?”
“You pushed me here.” Quinn’s voice trembled with anger. “Chase did something disgusting and shameless, and you expect me to stay married like nothing happened? I told you before. I value my life. Right now, just seeing him makes me sick. The thought of spending the rest of my life with him makes me feel like I’m trapped in a nightmare.”
Charles’ brows knitted together.
“Quinn, you’re this determined to divorce him. Is it because… you already have someone else?”
Quinn almost laughed.
“You should have proof before making accusations. Even if you’re older than me, you can’t just throw something like that at me.”
“I wouldn’t say something like that without a reason,” Charles said. “Someone already called me about it.”
Quinn froze.
“What are you talking about?”
Charles said, “If you don’t want people finding out about something, you shouldn’t do it in the first place. Chase wronged you, yes. But that doesn’t mean you get to retaliate by doing something morally wrong yourself.”

Quinn was stunned.
“What exactly did I do?”
Her voice rose,
“Say it clearly. Who called you? What did they say? Who do you think I’m involved with?”
“I haven’t told Chase about this yet.” Charles said. “Quinn, if this is your way of getting back at him, let’s stop here. You forgive him, and I’ll pretend this never happened. The two of you can go back to living your lives normally. How about that?”
Quinn finally understood. She laughed out loud. “So you’re making up accusations just to force me to forgive him? I really expected too much from you.”
She hung up.
Chase was shameless. And Charles was no better.
In that moment. Quinn felt the last bit of hesitation disappear. She picked up her phone and sent a message to Veronia.
“Veronica, please file the divorce papers. I want to move forward with the divorce.”
Veronica called almost immediately.
“You’re sure about this? You’re not worried about Chase’s dad anymore?”
Quinn let out a bitter laugh. “Do you know what he just said? He accused me of cheating. Completely out of nowhere.”
“Don’t get angry,” Veronica said. “If you’ve made up your mind, then we’ll file the case.” –
Finally, things were moving forward. Quinn was already mentally prepared.
Even if the first lawsuit failed, she would file again.
No matter what, she was ending this marriage.
Soon after, Chase received a court summons.
Furious, he stormed straight into Charles’ office.
“Dad! Look what she did!”
He slammed the document onto the desk. Charles picked it up and read it, his expression turning grim.
“Dad, what do we do now?” Chase asked.
Charles leaned back in his chair. “I didn’t want to tell you this before. But now you need to know.”
“Know what?”

“Quinn has been seeing another man.”
“What?” Chase thought he had misheard.
When the words finally sank in, rage exploded inside him. “What did you say? She’s seeing someone? Who is he? How dare she!”
“Calm down,” Charles said. “From what I heard, she’s been involved with him for quite some time.”
“Unbelievable!”
Chase began pacing the office, furious.
“That woman is unbelievable. I thought she was innocent, like she’d never do something like that. After everything that happened before, I even felt guilty about it. Turns out she’s been fooling around behind my back this whole time. This is unbelievable!”
Charles looked at him. “If that’s the case, then this marriage…”
Chase was about to say divorce.
But suddenly Rosalie’s face flashed through his mind.
He stopped. “Dad, let me think about it.”
Charles looked puzzled. “She’s been seeing another man. What is there to think about? Even if she tells people what you did, it’s not like she’ll come out looking good either. We don’t need to be afraid of her.”
Chase nodded.
“I know. I’ll talk to you later.”
As he turned to leave, Charles stopped him.
“You haven’t been in contact with that Rosalie again, have you?”
Chase felt a flash of guilt.
But he immediately lifted his chin. “Of course not.”
The moment he returned to his own office, he called Rosalie.
“Rosalie! I have to divorce Quinn! She’s seeing someone else! Can you believe it? She’s actually cheating on me!”
Rosalie sounded shocked. “She’s cheating? What do you mean?”
