I’m telling you, it’s real.” Chase said, his voice shaking with anger. “My dad had someone look into it, and this has been going on for a while. She’s been seeing someone behind my back. Rosalie, I’m done. I’m divorcing her.”

Rosalie’s heart skipped with excitement, but she forced her voice to sound shocked.

“How could that happen? I can’t believe Quinn would do something like that. Do you know who the guy is? What he does?”

“I don’t know,” Chase said impatiently. “And honestly, I don’t care who he is. That’s not the point. The point is she cheated. I can’t believe she’d actually do this.”

“Alright, slow down,” Rosalie said gently, trying to calm him. “I’m just… shocked. If my parents ever heard about something like this, they’d be furious.”

“Exactly. Your family has always been so respectable, so principled. And her? Turns out she never really fit in with you people.”

Rosalie was silent for a moment, as if she was processing the news.

“Chase,” she said finally, “this is a lot to take in. Give me a little time to think.”

They hung up. For a few seconds Rosalie sat quietly.

Then the smile on her face slowly spread. Soon she was laughing so hard she had to lean forward onto the desk to steady herself.

For so long she had been scheming, trying to push Quinn’s life into complete chaos. In truth, she had already managed to do plenty of damage.

But she never expected Quinn to hand her the perfect opportunity herself.

Quinn cheated. She actually cheated. Did she really just ruin everything for herself?
