RYDER’s pov

I stared at the healer in Both shock and fear.`

The room felt too small all of a sudden, the walls pressing in.

“What are you trying to say? That both Amelia and the baby are in danger?”

He nodded morosely, “And you need to make choice as soon as possible. Because every minute that passes by right now matters.”

His eyes held no judgment, only urgency and somehow that scared and worried me more.

“Amelia.” I said without thinking too deeply, “Save my wife. If you can save the Baby too, that’s fine. But my wife comes first.”

There was no hesitation. No point in bargaining with fate.

If the gods wanted a price, they could take anything, but not her.

Not my Amelia.

“Okay. But she’s bleeding so much right now, and she’s going to need a blood transfusion.”

“Then use my blood.” I said helplessly. It didn’t even have to be up for long discussion.

If my blood could save her, then they could take all of it if they had to.

The healer nodded quickly, “We can use your blood, Alpha. But you should know that she’s an omega. Which means two different outcomes are to be expected if she’s to be given an Alpha’s blood.” He said gravely, and feared what was to be said next.

My chest tightened painfully.

“Tell me.”

“Outcome one, Because she’s an omega, she might not be able to withstand the overwhelming power within your blood, which could lead to her body rejecting your body and she loses her life.”

I swallowed thickly, as the doctor’s words played over in

my

mind.

The thought alone felt like I was being carved open.

“What’s the second outcome?”

“The transfusion is successful, but she assimilated the power within your blood, and comes out of the operation far stronger than she’s ever been. Perhaps even stronger than you.”

“Do it.” I said without thinking, “I’m not scared of Amelia becoming strong. I’m scared of losing her.”

Power meant nothing without her beside me. And my strength was useless if I had no one left to protect.

“Of course.” The healer said with a nod, “Come along then, let’s get some of your blood.”

As I followed him into his office, I thought about the possibility of Amelia getting stronger, and decided that it had to be the least of my worries. Even if Amelia became stronger, she would still be the Amelia I knew and loved!”

I trusted her that deeply.

The healer drew my blood and gave me a vial of blood tonic to help with how loopy I felt after.

“You can sit here while you recover from your dizziness, meanwhile I’ll be heading back to the operating room to give your wife this blood.” he got to the door before I called out to him.

“Healer?”

“Yeah?”

“Please do everything you can. Please save her.” I pleaded and watched as his expression grew compassionate.

“I promise you that I’ll do all that I can, Alpha. Please excuse me.” With a bow, he stepped out of the room, and left me to myself.

Because of all the blood I lost, I was not in the right frame to keep watch outside of Amelia’s operating room. So I waited in the office and awaited the healer’s news.

I must have drifted off somewhere between dre Successfully unlocked!

“Alpha, Alpha!” I heard the healer’s excited voice from somewhere with my subconscious.

“Yeah?” I asked, opening up my eyes, “how’s my wife?”

P

And the Cup

pickled immediately regretted the action

“Easy there, Alpha the healer reached out to hold me, whide my head thementar they both survived” The healer added, and I bould hear the thr in his voice

“Take me to them, will you?t want to see my wife.” I said, as he led me to the dock. Then I remembere was also alive, “I want to see them both.”

“You’ll see them now.”

He led me to Amelia’s VIP room, where she lay, still unconscious. Beside her bed, was a colt, where was sleeping as well.

I went to Amelia’s side first, and overcome with a great surge of emotions, I literally wept with joy “Oh, my sweet baby girl. You were so strong and brave.” I leaned over to shower gentle kisses on her face

Her scent filled my lungs, and I could finally believe she was really here.
