Chapter 95

AMELIA’S pov

Later in the evening, when Ryder and I had woken up from our short nap, Beta brought Noah back to us, and the little gup was anything but energized.

“I had such a great time with Beta mum! He’s super cool and fun to be with.” Noah in a rush of excitement. One would expect that he would come back feeling exhausted from playing so much, but that was not the case with Noah.

If anything, I believe it was safe to say that he was so much stronger than he was early in the day.

“I think the link has been completely severed.” I remarked, looking up at Ryder, “Or what do you think? Considering how energized he is right now?”

Ryder observed Noah for a moment and slowly nodded. Even Ryder seemed to find it hard to keep up with Noah’s rish of excitement.

“Yes, I believe so too. But those two are very sneaky. Jasper and Camille. There’s no telling what crazy thing they might try. so we have to be on the watch.”

“Yes, I guess you’re right.” I said drawing Noah close. The thought of Camille having some kind of connection to my sweet puppy utterly repulsed me, and I vowed right then, to do everything I could to keep him safe.

“We should celebrate.” Ryder said suddenly, and drew me out of my thoughts.

“What did you say?” I asked him, and he smiled, his eyes twinkling much in the same way Noah’s eyes twinkled too.

“I said we should celebrate.” He repeated and shrugged, “Our baby was taken, and now we have him back. He was linked to that evil woman, Camille, but now he is free. If you ask me, I think it’s definitely worth celebrating.”

I smiled, and slowly began to nod, liking the idea.

“A celebration would be nice, don’t you think so, Noah?” I asked, and looked down at my puppy already beginning to curl up beside me. His five minutes of excessive energy had ended, and he yawned in perfect peace.

“Yeah.” Was all he replied and began to close his eyes.

“Well, you heard him. So we’re definitely doing it.” Ryde said, somewhat excited now, “nothing big though. Just a fun intimate gathering to celebrate the reunion of our family. Do you like that?7

I smiled softly, feeling warmth inside my heart. “Yes, Ryder, I most definitely like that.”

The day was already far gone, so Ryder called together the finest organizers of the pack the next day, and we gave them our vision

By the day after, our little gathering had come to life. Slow quiet classical music played in the background, as a few of Ryder’s trusted guards and wives talked and laughed, all dressed up celebrating the reunion of our little family that they devoted themselves to.

“The wine is good.” I said in surprise as I sampled a 1953 Champeau frost, that Ryder poured into my glass. I have no idea if 1 had the taste buds for wine back in the day, but I had a feeling this was the best wine I had ever had.

“You don’t remember this, but we drank this at our bonding ceremony and you a bit buzzed from having one too many glasses of this. Ryder said quietly, his lips and breath grazing seductively against my ear and I shivered.

“How naughty of you to be giving me a glass of it, knowing that I have a weakness for it. I chided playfully and he raised a

“No need to worry, I won’t let you over indulge today. Not when-” He rose and drew me up with him, pulled me to hundself, “We still have to dance.”

I squealed when he led me to the dance floor and we danced alongside other couples to Ed Sheeran’s song ‘perfect. “This…is perfect.” I said, my head cradled against his neck as we swayed softly on the dance floor.

“I’m glad you like it.” he said softly and I looked up at him. Maybe it was the alcohol, but I went on a whim and pressed tender kiss to his lips.

“I don’t like all of this, Ryder. I love it. I love everything about it.”

As wonderful as that party had been, I actually left before everyone else. Noah might have been incredibly strong, but he was also still just a pup who needed his right amount of hours for sleep, so I took him to bed while everyone still partied tucked him in.

“I had a good time, mum.” He said sleepily as I tucked in his blanket around him and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

I’m glad you did, baby. I actually had a good time too.”

He smiled up at me and patted the bed space beside him, “Stay with me a while, please?”

“Of course.” I said softly and obliged him, “How could I say no to my handsome little prince?”

Sleep found me quite easy that night, and I had no idea what time the party would end after then, but I was more than happy to snuggle up beside my puppy.

After all, they grew up so fast, and before one knew it, my sweet puppy would even want little cuddles anymore.
