"A dog can't stop eating crap, not because the crap smells good, but because the dog likes it."
Evelyn was speechless. "I feel like you're insulting me indirectly."
"Wow, you caught that. Good job," Felicity said. "Abby and I ordered ten hot guys for you at the Starlight Lounge. Us three girls are going to party tonight and not go home until we're drunk!"
Evelyn felt a headache coming on. "Please don't, I'd rather just sleep at home."
"Cut the crap, hurry up. If you're late, I'll bring these guys over to the Briarwood Villa to give you room service."
Evelyn knew this heiress was fully capable of doing just that. With no other choice, she dragged herself out of bed.
She drove to the Starlight Lounge. Just as she ended a call with Carter and was about to pull into the parking lot, a loud crash echoed out.
The car behind her had rear-ended her. The impact threw Evelyn forward, her chest slamming hard against the steering wheel.
Evelyn winced in pain. Just as she was about to step out, someone knocked on her window.
She turned to look and saw a young woman with a ponytail standing outside the car, absolutely fuming. Clearly, this was the driver from behind.
Evelyn pushed the door open and stepped out. Upon seeing the girl's face clearly, she couldn't help but pause.
This girl looked a bit like Valerie, especially the arrogance resting between her brows.
"What are you looking at? Pay up! I just bought this car today!" She looked Evelyn up and down, and seeing her dressed plainly, sneered, "If you can't afford to pay, get on your knees and apologize. As long as you have a good attitude and beg a few times, I'll let it slide."
Evelyn was speechless. "Miss, your car rear-ended mine. You are the one at fault."
"Fine, refusing to apologize, huh? You wait here, I'm calling someone right now!"
Saying that, she pulled out her phone and dialed.
