Chapter 120

We step through the front door and me and the kids wait by the door. While Dallas, walks in throwing his keys on the table. Either Dallas mind-linked Liam, or Liam heard us, because a second later Liam was opening the door from his dad’s office. Or is it his office now? He walks out talking, “I just don’t…” He stands at the top of the stairs, staring down at me. It’s like all the air is ripped from the air when I see him. He’s gained some muscle and looks even more of an Alpha. He still has those gorgeous bright green eyes. Eyes that are burning into mine. Then I see who he was talking to, and I feel like I get hit by a train.

Clara walks out next to him and puts her hand on his arm. She looks down at me and smirks, “Well, we’ll talk later. Goodnight.” She finishes by blowing him a kiss. My heart sinks to the pit of my stomach. Is this who he’s moved on to? He says nothing to her, but I watch as she leaves. A triumphant smile plastered on her stupid face. “I like the hair, Amy. Really suits you.” Clara says as she passes. Heather hisses at her like a cat and Clara looks disgusted. I have to try so hard not to laugh. Liam walks down the stairs slowly, not taking his eyes off me.

Once he hits the bottom, he finally speaks, “Amy?” I try and hide any emotion I’m feeling right now and just put on the best fake smile I can. “Liam.” He’s still staring at me, not even moving his eyes to see our precious children. “I’ve brought a couple people who really want to meet you.” I say, trying to sound casual. This is just a visit, nothing more. He finally takes his eyes from mine and looks down at my hands. Heather hides her face in my neck as Griffon stands in front of me, always the protector.

His eyes widen when they get to Griffon. If looks weren’t enough, once a werewolf looks into someones eyes they’re related to, you know the relation. He looks back up at me shocked, then back down to Griffon. He bends down on his knees, and just stares at Griffon. Griffon, being the smart boy he is, lets his dad understand what was going on and then went crazy. “Daddy!” He shouts and runs into Liam’s arms. Liam falls back a little with a grunt but centers himself quickly throwing his arms around Griffon.

“Mommy said you’d be happy to see us, but you wouldn’t know about us. It’s okay to be shocked, daddy!” Griffon explains, Liam chuckles, and stares at him bewildered. I stand Heather up on the ground and she instantly grabs ahold of my leg and peaks around to look at Liam. He turns and looks over at her, “Come here, sweetie.” Liam coaxes, and with a little push from me she runs over squeezing tightly around Liam’s neck. He sits there for a moment and just holds on to them for dear life.

I look over at Dallas who’s just watching everything go down, with a big smile on his face. I don’t agree with the way he did this, or the danger he’s put everyone in, but the way my heart is swelling watching my kids finally meet their dad is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before.
