I try and get out of whoever’s grip, when Liam’s growl shakes the ground underneath us. He starts stalking forward, “You put my children and love in danger, because you needed to be with her?” He says low, and scary. The arms around me drop and Dallas runs in front of Liam, protecting Nick.

“Liam! He’s my mate! If what we believe is true, he had no choice. It was the Gamma senses, he sensed he needed to protect her for me!” Dallas screams. What? What do they believe? I mean Dallas has always been protective of me and since he is his mate, would that make sense? Would it work like that?

Liam’s blaring eyes seemed to simmer some, as he looked over at Dallas. Liam’s inner battle written all over his face. My eyes start going blurry and I can feel my body shaking. Liam glances at me, and all the anger leaves his face, worry etched in eyes. My head starts spinning and I can feel that pain again. My wolf is trying to use my anger to come out. My head feels like it’s going to explode! I crouch down and grab my head. This time the pain is even more intense, every bone in my body feels like it’s being snapped in half.

I let out a scream and start pulling at my hair again. I can feel Liam and Dallas next to me, but I can’t hear or see anything. Someone’s trying to make me take something, but my mouth is clenched shut from the pain. I feel something stab my arm, and a couple seconds later everything goes black.

I wake up in a beautiful meadow. A stream flowing in front of me, and wildflowers surrounding me. I look around and see no one. I think back at everything that just happened. “Am I dead?” I ask out loud, to myself, but to my surprise someone answers. “No sweetheart, you’re not dead. Not yet anyway.” I look around, trying to find the voice when my eyes land on a wolf prancing towards me. This wolf is beautiful. Its fur is pure white, except for a swirl of crimson red around its torso. It has two different colors eyes one crimson red and the other bright blue like mine. Is this my wolf? “Yes dear, I’m your wolf. My name is Leah, I was able to attach to your subconscious this time so we could finally meet.” She answers, reading my mind. She chuckles, “Of course I can read you mind, sweetheart. I’m apart of you.”

“The doctor said you were angry with me. Why don’t you seem angry?” I ask, as she gets closer and starts rubbing her fur on my back. “I am angry. Just not at you. I can read your mind; I know you don’t want to keep me locked up. I know you want this mess with your father over with.” She answers, and I start crying. “You want to leave me?” I ask, she sighs. “I’m not leaving you. Your sickness isn’t being caused by me. I’m not sure what’s wrong.” She answers.

She rubs her fur under my chin. I look closer at the red, “The red in your fur?” I don’t finish my question, but she answers anyway. “Yes dear, a part of your father’s magic runs through us both. It was him who decided to be evil. You don’t have to worry unless you change your path to destruction.”

I let out a breath. I will never be evil like my father, I have too much to live for. “Do you know how to stop him?” I ask, and she sighs. “I’m sorry dear, I don’t know. What I do know is you’ll need my help. It’s time to let me free. We can handle this together. It’s time your father is stopped.
