Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 148

Chapter 148

This can’t be happening. Not again. She was left alone for five seconds! No!

I watch as Dallas paces back and forth along the street, looking for her. Her scent disappears after we leave the porch. The only other scent is ours!

Did her father find her?

Everybody is looking, but we won’t find her. Not by scent, and she’s been gone too long that we’d see her.

My mind races, as I try to figure out anything. Try to think of any plan. “Do you think maybe she ran again?” Cole asks softly behind me. A low growl leaves my throat.

“How do you suppose she did that, Cole? She could barely walk! You think she just took off?” I scream at him. He puts his hands up, “Hey, I’m just pointing out all the possibilities! It wouldn’t be the first time!” He screams back at me.

Already everybody is on edge. Fuck! I scoff, my hand running down my face. Then turn away from him. We’re just going to keep butting heads if I stay and argue.

Hours we search for her. Hours! I can’t believe she’s gone again. The thought of her dad having her in his grasp makes me want to vomit. How do we find her? How do we find him? Why aren’t we more prepared?

We planned everything for hours, but this wasn’t even a scenario our stupid heads even thought would happen.

When we meet back up at the house, everybody looks drained. As I get closer to the porch, someone stands up. I internally groan when I see Clara. “Hey Liam, my dad wanted me to talk to you about…” She stops looking between all of us. “Did someone die?” She asks, and a low growl comes from every one of us.

She throws her hands up in surrender, “Sorry, you all just look like shit.” I roll my eyes. “Amy’s missing. Whatever you’ve come to talk about can wait.” I tell her and go to move past her.

She pulls on my arm, and I yank it from her grasp. This fucking girl and thinking she can touch me. “Sorry. I just … I want to help.” She says. I glare at her.

“Why?” I ask, she hates Amy. The feeling has always been mutual. Why the hell would she want to help?

She looks around nervously, “Well, if she’s back and you to are going to be together then it’s only right her and I form a relationship. We work together closely quite a lot, and I don’t want her to think anything of it. So, I want to help find her so we can move passed our past.” She explains, and I grunt and nod, while Dallas growls.

He can be pissed if he wants, but the more eyes we have looking for her the better. And if Amy’s willing to look past whatever went on between them that’s up to her, I’ll support her either way.

“What about a location spell?” Mia asks Hazel. Hazel sighs, “It won’t work. Not with her necklace.” Goddess, that fucking necklace.

I swear I see Clara relax a little when Hazel answers, which causes me to glare at her. She just acts like nothing happened though.

We continue searching for two more hours, the sun will be up in two hours. She’s been missing all fucking night! When we meet up at the house again, I’m about to send everybody inside to get some sleep, when I hear a low

growl coming from the trees.

Everybody turns in that direction, having heard it. A beautiful white wolf comes through the tree line. Red coating its jaw down her mane. I could swear one of the wolf’s eyes are red. What the hell?

Then I scent it. ‘Mate!’ My wolf exclaims, loudly in my head. My eyes widen as I take that in. I want to run to the wolf, but as I look at her, I notice she isn’t looking at me.

Her heads down, ready for the kill, glaring at… Clara?

Clara starts backing up, seemingly noticing the same thing. She’s just about to shift, when the wolf pounces. Jumping on top of her, digging into her teeth and claws. Clara screams, begging for help.

Finally, the shock lessens, and we all move. Trying to get the wolf off Clara, we finally manage it, but barely. Clara is hurt badly but still breathing.

The wolf doesn’t try to harm any of us and shifts back into human. My body starts shaking.
