My eyes open and I can see the sun shining through the curtains. I wonder how long I was out this time.

Everything looks brighter, clearer, that scent. Goddess that scent! I throw my body up into sitting and look around. I’m in Liam’s room, I can smell it here, but my body starts moving before I can even give it commands.

I look down, I’m wearing one of Liam’s t-shirts and it looks like some of my shorts. My legs take me to the hallway, down the stairs, through the living room and into the kitchen.

My body freezes, ‘Mate!’ My wolf exclaims, just as Liam turns from putting a plate in the sink. My brain doesn’t process anything as my feet carry me to Liam and I jump into his waiting arms.

Our lips clash in the next second, and it feels like I’ve come up for air. Like my bodies been held under water my entire life and I can finally breathe.

I hear cheers go up around us, but I can’t focus on anything except my body pressed against Liam’s, my mate! Goddess, I never thought I’d say those words. Never even let myself consider it was possible with everything that has happened.

Liam spins me around and my ass lands on the counter. He tears off my shorts and underwear in one fluid motion then I hear a zipper. He spreads my legs, and I feel the tip of him nudging my entrance seconds before he slams into me, like he’d die if he didn’t.

I moan loudly, the intrusion taking a second to get used to, but feeling fucking amazing all the same. Goddess, I’ve missed this. Missed his body connected to mine, missed his lips, his scent, breathing the same air as him, literally everything. I need him like I need my next breath, how I ever left for so many years is beyond me. How I stayed gone is even more bewildering. I can’t even imagine it anymore.

His lips leave mine but only leaving a few inches of distance between them as he places his forehead on mine, continuing to pump in and out of me, while I move my hips to meet his next thrust. “Fuck, Angel. Finally.” His lips find mine again, after he speaks, telling me just how long he’s waited for this moment.

He starts moving his mouth down my jaw to my neck, both of us breathing heavily as I cling onto his neck with one arm and the other one bracing me on the counter.

Then I feel as his canines skim over the spot he’s meant to mark me. Just when I think he’s going to do it he pulls himself away with a growl.

I whimper and pull his face to mine. There’s conflict there, which I don’t understand. “Do it.” I beg, and he slows his thrust and looks down at me. “You’re already so weak. I can’t hurt you more. I won’t.” He explains.

“Tell him I’ll keep you safe. I want my mate.’ Leah all but screams at me and I chuckle. He looks at me confused, “Leah says she’ll make sure I’m fine, but I’m pretty sure will go on a rampage if you don’t mark me.” I tell him and a soft smile plays on his lips.

“After what I saw last night, her on a rampage would end us all. I wouldn’t want to upset her.” Liam says, rubbing his nose back and forth on my mating spot.

I moan, as he teases the spot on my neck and close my eyes. Goddess, this feels so good. His thrust pick up again and my nails dig into his shoulder blades, when he finally bites into my neck and euphoria erupts through my body.

My body clamps down around Liam’s and the sound that leaves him can only be described as animal, as we both come down together.

He places his head on the forehead again. “You’re mine now, Amy. There’s no where you can hide from me anymore.” He says and I look up at him panting. “No more hiding. I never want to leave your side again, Liam. We’re in this together.
