Chapter 155
‘Amy?’ Liam shouts in my head, desperately. ‘Don’t move! I’m fine.’ I yell back, already knowing he was about to give up all of this and come to help me, but we’re not there yet.
‘Amy…’ Liam growls, clearly not wanting to listen, but I can’t respond.
His hands wrap around my neck. “You think you’ve won this girl?” He spits at me, as I claw at his arms trying to remove him from my neck. He leans in close to me, “The great part about spells and rituals is they require a witch. And lucky for me yours is right over there.” He says, nodding his head towards Hazel.
Though luckily for the plan, she’s not where she was a moment ago.
It was up to me to get him riled up. To make him sloppy and hyper-focused. Also, lucky for me that he has the fuse of a bottle rocket, and it took next to nothing.
Someone just doesn’t like having his ego dampened.
A cruel smile crosses my face as I glance behind him, “You sure?” I croak out, with what little air I had to spare. Then Hazel’s hands, covered in I don’t want to know liquid, grabs hold of both his temples.
He roars and rears back, trying to buck her off him, but Mia was there ready to hold him as steadily as she could.
I jump onto my feet, swaying slightly, while I gasp in lungfuls of air. Thank the Goddess, but this still isn’t over.
I look over at Hazel, clutching onto him tightly while he falls to his knees in front of her facing me. I can see the fight leaving his eyes while Hazel shouts in a language I’ve never heard.
I watch mesmerized, which in retrospect was stupid on my part.
Out of no where he jolts forward, landing on me yet again. I cry out as pain ricochets through my body from the impact. “You will be coming with me!” He shouts, just as Hazel gets him back under control.
I grab hold of my side as I stand back up, fucker really got me that time.
I stand more on guard as they continue.
Suddenly, my father’s eyes aren’t red anymore… They’re brown! Oh my Goddess! Is it actually working?
He looks around frantically, then his eyes land on me and he lets out a sob. “You look just like her.” He says softly, looking into my eyes.
My eyes start to water, and I nod my head, “I know.” He gives me a small smile, “I’m so sorry. I wish things could have been different. I’m so happy you’ve made it.” He says and a sob rips from my throat.
“We’re going to save you. We’re going to get him out of you.” I tell him, moving closer to talk to him.
He closes his eyes and shakes his head. “You can’t. There’s nothing left for me. You have to end this.”
I shake my head frantically, “No! We have a plan. It’ll work.” I beg, desperate to save him. I didn’t even realize just how much I really wanted this til I’m here talking to him. I know everything’s messed up, but we could get passed it, it wasn’t really him that did all those terrible things. He didn’t want to kill my mom; he tried to save

He looks sadly into my eyes, “It won’t. If he leaves my body, I’ll die anyway. It’s safer for you to do it now, while I can still control him. You don’t know where he’ll go if he gets released. If you kill me, he’ll die with me.”
Why hadn’t we thought of that? We planned on expelling him, but I guess we just assumed he’d die if he was expelled.
My chest tightens and tears pour down my face. I shake my head, “I can’t.” I barely whisper, and his body jerks.
He looks at me with all the fear of a father about to lose his child as he screams, “You have to! You have to now! I’m starting to lose control, the spells fading!” He screams and starts thrashing in Mia’s hold.
Mia’s face tightens, as she uses all her strength to hold him. I look at Hazel, her face dim and she looks like she’s about to lose consciousness.
Fuck!
My mind does somersaults as I try to figure out what my best options are. Though I know I don’t have any.
Either I do this now, or everyone I love will die. I look into my father’s brown eyes and give myself over to the Leah. I feel my eyes change color, causing my father’s eyes to widen, then he smiles.
He’s still clearly fighting, but he’s still looking at me with love. “She’d be so proud of you.” He says, and with that Leah forms a claw from my hand, and digs it into his chest, ripping out his heart.
