Chapter 165
“Thanks, mom. I should probably go though. I love you. I’m going to call dad here in a little bit, but could you tell Griff I love him.” She says, and I close my eyes. “Of course. I’ll tell him. I love you. Talk to you soon!”
She hangs up and I look over at the door, wondering what I’m going to do to get Griffon out of this funk he’s in.
Arms wrap around me from behind and I instantly melt into them. I have no idea when he got in here, but I’m happy he is. “Stop worrying so much, Angel.” Liam whispers into my ear. I lean my head back onto his shoulder.
“I don’t think worrying about your kids will ever go away.” I tell him and he chuckles. “Probably not, but there’s nothing to worry about right now. Griff is just going through a phase. You’ll get out of it. Especially, once he finds his mate.”
I swallow. “He wants to drop out of school. Take online classes.” I tell him and he stands up and leans against my desk looking at me. “Not everyone loves school.” Liam says eyeing me knowingly and I nod. “I know. I just feel like it’s more than that. He’s always hated school. He’s never asked to drop out before.” I explain and he nods his head in agreement. “You want me to talk to him?” He asks and I shake my head. “No. I think you’re right. Once he finds his mate, he’ll get better. Maybe we could do something about that. Throw a ball, or something. Get all the ally packs to come. Just so he can meet some new people. We won’t say it’s for him to find his mate. Just a get to know everyone before he takes over.” I tell him my semi plan, and a smile crosses his face.
“I love when you’re in planning mode.” He jokes. Pulling me up into his arms and wrapping them around me. I look up at him and tilt my head. “You like the idea?” I ask him and he smirks. “When have I ever been able to say no to you, Angel.” He coos and I roll my eyes and shake my head.
He grabs my chin and pulls my lips to his, kissing me with the same passion he did fifteen years ago.
He pulls back and looks into my eyes. “I love you, Angel. And if you think this will help, we’ll give it a shot. I don’t see what it’ll hurt either way. Plus, we’ll get to see Heather and some of the other leaders we haven’t seen in awhile. It sounds perfect to me.” He says, then pulls my face back to his.
He lifts me up and places me on the desk, as our kiss starts to grow heated. His hands sliding under my shirt and starting to lift it up.
The door flies open, and we hear a curse, before detaching and looking over at the door where Griffon stands. “I should have knocked. I’m leaving. See you guys later.” Griffon says, and we both wave.
I look back at Liam, my face red with embarrassment, as he chuckles. “What? It’s like he said, he should have knocked.” Liam jokes and I roll my eyes. “You should have locked the door.” I tell him and he smirks, “Contrary to your beliefs, I wasn’t exactly planning on attacking you.” He says then his eyes darken as he looks over my body, “Though, I guess I should have assumed.” He whispers, walking back over to me and leaning down to kiss
I laugh into the kiss, and he leans over me further, pushing me against the desk and spreading my legs.
