Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 171

Chapter 171

We all finish getting ready and head for the ballroom. It’s at a giant building in the middle of the pack. My mom actually had it made for events like this. She said we can’t hold everything at the house, so she made a banquet hall. She loves this place and of course my dad gave her free reign with it, so it’s exactly how she likes it.

It’s actually where they got married and held the Alpha and Luna ceremony.

When we walk inside it’s exactly how I expected it. Perfect.

Lights hanging from the ceiling and wrapped elegantly around the poles. Shimmering silver table clothes with elegant flower centerpieces. The smell of the food is to die for and the light dim to create the perfect atmosphere.

All of us move towards the front to wait for the women as people from the other packs start making their way

into the room.

I watch behind everyone with the kids as our dads’ gawk as our moms enter the room. They all do look beautiful. But my jealousy just heightens as I watch our dads tell their wives how beautiful they look.

“How do I look?” I hear from beside me, and I turn with a smile, looking her up and down. Aspen’s dress is a long shimmering, tight, silver dress, that hugs all her curves. Her long caramel color hair running over her shoulders in waves, and blue eyes popping against the silver make-up. She looks stunning.

“You look sober.” I tell her, joking with her about the last time I saw her. She rolls her eyes and chuckles. “We’ll see how long that last.” She whispers. I roll my eyes and shake my head. “You’re impossible.” I tell her and she smirks, “I’ve been called worse.”

“Griff!” I hear my sister’s voice exclaim and a body rush into mine. I pull her in for a tight hug. “I’ve missed you, Griff.”

I smile and pull her back to look at her, “I’ve missed you too, sis. You look beautiful.” I tell her and her smile widens and she pulls back to do a little spin. “I don’t get to dress this fancy very often.” She says and I smile at

her.

We all go to sit, eat and catch up. Then we get to the dancing.

I sit in my seat next to my mom, and watch has everybody gets up couple by couple to go dance. My jaw clenches when I see Heather take Micah’s hand and joins him on the dance floor.

Leaving me with Aspen, Randy, and Finn.

Aspen sighs loudly, like she’s bored. I look over at her and she stands up. “Okay. I’m over it. Dance with me.” She says looking at me.

The conversation I had with mom the other night rings into my head. Does she feel something for me? I don’t want to lead her on if she does, but I also don’t want to hurt her feelings. I take a deep breath and stand up, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the dance floor.

She looks up at me, “Are you happy, Griffy?” I tilt my head and look down at her. “Sure.” I tell her and she purses her lips. “You’ll find your mate. She’s probably closer than you think.” She says and I laugh. “You know that with all your wisdom on the subject?” I ask her.

A sly smile crosses her face, “I know many things, Griffy.” She whispers, looking down at her feet. I chuckle and she looks up rolling her eyes, “You’d be surprised.” She whispers.

Suddenly, the doors the the room open widely, and the most beautiful scent overwhelms me.
