Chapter 173

Liam nods, “We’ll make her happy here. I promise. If she’s as amazing as you say, it won’t be a problem.” Liam says to Renolds and Renolds smiles widely. “Good to hear! Hopefully everything goes well in there.” He says motioning towards the door.

“She must be pretty important to you two, since you brought her to the ball.” Walker says randomly and I look at him skeptically. Renolds looks over at him still smiling. “Well, honestly, we were hoping to help her find her mate. And since the ball was going to be pack with multiple people from different packs, figured it was as good a chance as any.” He explains with a shrug.

I can’t say much to that, since my intentions were exactly the same. Though this girl still must be important since he felt the need to help her achieve this. Granted maybe he feels responsible for her, since she had such a rough upbringing and he decided to help her and bring her in.

“It was actually her idea. She suggested it and we thought it was a great idea.” Renolds continues, and I tilt my head. “Really?” I ask him and he nods. “She’s a smart one.” He coos and I swallow. Not sure why I feel like that’s strange, but whatever it worked out and now they both have their mates.

Liam must sense my want to walk away, because he takes Renolds and starts walking. I’m not sure what they keep talking about, but I slowly make my way over to Mia, Hazel and Dallas.

When I sit down Dallas looks at me skeptically. “Figured you’d be extremely happy right now.” Dallas says, and I tilt my head looking at him. “I am happy.” I tell him and he smirks, “Tell that to your face, Aims.” He deadpans. Mia and Hazel look over at me. “He’s right. You don’t look happy.” Hazel says and I purse my lips.

“I don’t know. Renolds told me she suggested she come here and try and find her mate. I just find it strange.” I shrug and Mia shakes her head.

“Stop over thinking. Even if she did suggest it, what’s the problem. She did find her mate. And now Griff finally has his.” She responds and I nod. “I know. I’m not sure why I find it strange. It’s just a feeling. I’m sure it’ll go away.” I tell her and now Hazel shakes her head.

“It’s never smart to ignore that kind of stuff. If you feel something’s strange, something might very well be up. Maybe we should look into her. Just to make sure everything is on the up and up.” Hazel says, and I nod. ” Renolds did say she came to her pack only a year ago. Maybe we should find out more about her past. But besides asking her, how do we find anything out? He said she was a rogue. There won’t be any information on her.” I explain and Hazel’s lips purse.
