Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 178

Chapter 178

“Mia! Hazel!” I shout for them, barely making out their features through the smoke. “I’m good.” Hazel says and Mia grabs my arm. “We need to get out! Now!” Mia yells.

I turn and pull at the door, but it won’t open. I turn towards Mia and see her trying to do the same. “The doors. won’t open. Try the windows.” Hazel says, as she starts chanting something from the back seat.

I don’t pay attention to her as I turn and start trying to break the bulletproof windows Liam had them put into my car. It was a good thought, until now.

I faintly hear shouting on the outside of the car, before I see all the guys trying to break through it. “Fuck!” I hear Liam shout as he continues to try and punch the window open.

I look towards Mia, and I can see her clearly, then I look back at Hazel who’s still in the back chanting. Mia looks at me surprised. “What’s going on?” Mia asks, and I look back at Hazel. “I think she’s casting a protection spell.” I tell Mia and Hazel coughs.

“I am, but it won’t last long. We need to get out!” Hazel tells us before returning her focus back to the spell.

‘We’ll get you out, Angel.’ Liam mind-links me, and I look at him and nod. ‘We need to hurry. Hazel said she can’t hold her spell for long.’ I tell him and his face grows even more determined.

“Why are the doors locked?” Mia yells, still trying to push hers open. “I don’t know!” I yell back before punching at the window again.

“Someone did this, Amy.” Mia tells me and I swallow knowing she’s right. This doesn’t just happen.

I look around the car and that’s when it hits me the trunk! “Hopefully they weren’t thorough.” I tell her as I start heading to the backseat.

I get into the back seat and look at the trunk through the window. The smoke is covering most of my vision, but I should be able to see. “Mia, open the trunk.”

She doesn’t ask questions she just reaches for the lever and pulls it, and I see the trunk pop open slightly and I smile widely. “Yes!” I shout, then start trying to remember how to pull the backseats down.

I look over at Hazel, her skin is paling and sweat forming on her forehead. We really need to hurry.

I finally find the lever, still hearing the guys hitting the car and it shaking from all the movement. I pull it down quickly and look over at Hazel and Mia. “Go!” I yell at them.

Hazel stops her chanting and opens her eyes to look at the hole. She crawls through it. We don’t have time to fight over who should go first. Hazel gets through and Mia follows her out.

The protection spells starts to wear off and the smoke starts filling the car. I cough, covering my mouth with my shirt as I wait for Mia to make it all the way through, then I follow her out.

Mia’s body flies out of the trunk and a second later mine is wrapped in arms and pulled out as well. They move quickly away from the car and two seconds later I hear a large explosion behind me.

Liam covers my body with his and holds me close to the ground as my car explodes around us.

Once the explosion calms down, I slowly make it to my feet and look over at the destruction.

Seconds. If we would have been seconds later, all three of us would be in pieces along with my car.

Liam pulls me close to him and kisses the top of my head sighing relieved, and Dallas comes up next to me and takes my hand in his.

I glance over at him, and his face is hard as stone as he looks at my car. He was worried about this and now it’s happening.

But how do we possibly find out who did this when all the evidence is up in smoke.

Liam pulls away from me and starts checking my body for injuries.

I have a few burns, but his eyes stop on my hand, and it starts burning with pain. I look down and see it’s pretty beat up from trying to punch out the window. I didn’t even feel it until now.

“We need to go get that straightened out before your healing kicks in.” Liam says, looking up at me concerned. I nod, then look over at Hazel and Mia. Both wrapped in either Cole or Walkers arms, and they look at me.

I see the concern flash between all of us. We all almost died. This feels like the start of something.
