Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 180

Chapter 180

I was wrong and so was Walker. Everybody in the pack started giving me side eyes the second we walked out of the hospital and all the way home.

I sigh relieved when I walk inside the house and fall back onto the couch. I grab the blanket off the back and cover my face with it.

I was holding back tears the entire way home. I don’t understand how everyone is so quick to think the worst of me. I didn’t do anything, but they’re acting like I’m a murderer walking free.

I close my eyes to keep the tears from falling, but a few still slide down my cheeks.

Everything has been so good for so long. Why is everything falling apart all of the sudden? Maybe it was stupid of me to throw the ball. My whole reasoning was because I wanted Griff to find his mate, and now I’m not even sure I like her.

I hear the door open, and someone run to the living room. “Mom, dad, are you guys, okay?” I hear Aspen’s sweet voice ring through the room, but I don’t move.

“We’re fine, honey.” Mia answers and I hear as she pulls Aspen to her for a hug.

“Is aunt Amy alright?” She whispers to them, and I don’t hear them respond, but Aspen comes over and hugs me. I hold on to her tightly accepting her comfort as she gives it.

I pull the blanket off my face and look into her eyes, “Thank you. You’re just so sweet. I’m fine.” I tell her and she looks at me with pity. “I don’t believe a word they’ve sad auntie, and there’s a lot of us who don’t. You’re the Luna, you could make them all bow down if you wanted. You can handle a few whispers.” Aspen whispers looking into my eyes the whole time.

I blink rapidly as I take in what she said, and then smile widely at her, “When did you get so smart?” I ask her and she smirks at me. “I’ve always been smart. Just not in the way school wants me to be.” She coos and I chuckle. “I can’t wait to see what you become, Aspen.” I whisper to her, and a sly smile crosses her face.

“Well, the world is my oyster. I should probably go, I’m glad everyone’s okay.” She says hugging her parents and rushing out the door.

I watch her in awe and then look at her parents. “You guys should have another one. You’re good at this parent thing.” I chuckle and Mia smiles, coming over and sitting on the couch next to me.

“Yeah, we’re great. Our kid sneaks out, goes to college parties, gets in trouble, but she is smart.” Mia jokes and Walker chuckles as I look at her wide mouthed.

Mia laughs when she sees me and grabs my hand. “I’m the queen of sneaking out! We let her do what she’s going to do, but we keep an eye on her. Griff was really sweet making sure she got home safe.” She tells me and I laugh with her.

“I should have told you.” I chuckle and she shakes her head. “It’s fine. I understand why you didn’t. Griff was the only one she really talked to about anything important. If I’m worried about anything it’s that.” She says s and I look at her confused, she sighs.

“I don’t think he’ll be her go to anymore. And I’m worried if she’ll talk to anyone now.” Mia explains and I shake my head. “He’ll still be here for her.” I tell her and she gives me a small smile. “It won’t be the same. And he has

a mate to worry about now. I don’t want his mate thinking something’s going on when it isn’t and start things with Aspen. I think she just needs someone new to talk to. It’s too bad Finn and Randy are so immature.” She finishes and I chuckle at that.

They’re definitely more on the wild side then our kids ever were, but with their father it’s hard to blame them. Plus, they’re still really good kids, just a little crazy.

“She could always give Heather a call! She’d love to talk to her for hours.” I tell her and her smile widens. “I’ll suggest that!” Mia tells me and I nod, happy to have come up with a solution.

The front door opens and Dallas and Liam walk through it. I eye them suspiciously and they both give me guilty looks. Mia moves to sit on Walker’s lap in the chair and they both sit on either side of me.

Liam grabs my hand and turns me towards him. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s gotten into me, but they’re right. I’m overreacting and it needs to stop.” Liam tells me, and Dallas grabs my other hand, “And I need to calm down on provoking him. I’m sorry too.” Dallas says.

“You know I’m like the pack harlot now, everybody was giving me dirty looks on the way over here.” I tell them and I see anger flash across Liam’s face. “I’ll make an announcement. You’re their Luna. No one should be looking at you like that weather what their saying is true or not.” Liam growls and I nod.

“I need this mess cleaned up before Griffon gets back. If nothing else, you know how protective he can get. I don’t need any more boys getting into fights over me.” I tell him and he nods, still looking guilty.

I look around the room and take a deep breath, “Let’s get together tonight. Just us, like old times. Call Nick, Hazel and Cole over and just get wasted like we’re teens again.” I tell them and everyone smiles. “Yeah, let’s do it!” Mia shouts and everyone nods their heads.
