We all sit outside looking at the stars, we turned off all the lights and our backyard stretches on for miles, so their extremely bright. The moon casting just enough light to make everything easily visible.

Hazel, Dallas and I have a wine cooler, while everybody else is drinking beer. It’s such a perfect night, the weather is perfect, the company is perfect and everybody is getting along.

I walk over to Liam and wrap my arms around his waist, and he follows suit, while I grin up at him. “This is nice.” I whisper to him, and he smiles and looks around at all our friends. “It really is.” He responds.

He pulls me closer and leans down to kiss my lips. I let the kiss go on longer than I should, considering everybody here, but they all have their mates here too, so I’ll just enjoy my moment with mine.

I finally pull away from him and look at the group. Cole looks at me and chuckles, “Do you remember when I dared Mia to kiss you, and you were so embarrassed to never have had a kiss before? Then Liam kissed you in private later that night so you wouldn’t have to be embarrassed. Now, here you are making out with him in front of all of us. Aw good times.” He jokes and I smile shaking my head at him.

Liam pulls me closer to him and looks down at me, “I remember that night with clarity. It was the perfect first kiss.” He says sweetly, and I swear I’m as red as a tomato.

I shrug, “It was alright.” I try to play it cool, but the smile forming on my face does nothing to help me keep up pretenses. Liam tickles my side, making me burst out laughing and trying to get away from him, but his hold on me means I’m going nowhere.

“Okay! Okay! It was perfect!” I correct myself and Liam stops his assault, laughing along side me. “That’s better.” He jokes and I roll my eyes.

Dallas laughs, “It’s actually insane how much has happened since then. It feels like yesterday.” He says reminiscing.

We all go quiet for a moment as we think back on everything, then Nick chimes in. “Though I wasn’t here, I always felt like I was with how often Amy talked about you guys. I swear I knew all of you better than I knew myself before I even meant you.” Nick says and Hazel laughs, “Seriously. It was non-stop. Then she started using you guys in her bedtime stories and I would think you all were kings and queen.” Nick chuckles with her and nods in agreement.

“Alright. Alright. We don’t need to discuss all of this again.” I tell them and Dallas smirks at me. “Someone’s getting embarrassed.” He jokes and I roll my eyes.

Liam lets go of my waist and goes to sit down in one of the lawn chairs, but I stay standing.

“We need to put a gazebo back here, with twinkle lights and make it really pretty. Put a fire pit in the middle, and a speaker so we can have mini parties out there.” Mia says putting to the middle of the yard.

I laugh, “Then we couldn’t see the stars.” I tell her and she chuckles, “We could. Just turn off the lights and step outside.” She explains and I purse my lips and nod. “I don’t hate the idea. I bet you could make it so beautiful.” I tell her and she gives me a grateful smile.

“Yeah, I think I missed my calling. I should be an interior designer or something. Make you pay me for all the work I do for you.” She jokes and I laugh, “No. That’s just what best friends do. Sorry, but you’ll always be free to

me.” I tell her and she laughs rolling her eyes. “Yeah, yeah. I guess.”

I look over and still see Liam sitting in the chair by himself. I start to head over to him, but Walker grabs my shoulder and shakes his head, then walks over there himself.

Liam was in such a good mood when all this started. I don’t know where it went wrong.

I decide to let Walker handle it for now and turn back to Mia and Hazel. “Do you think instead of twinkle lights you could hang witchy stars that just hang from the ceiling?” I ask Hazel and she smiles. “Only if I’m here to hang the stars every time.” She responds and I purse my lips. “Guess you’ll be over here a lot more often.” I tell her and she chuckles, “I’m over pretty much every day.” I shrug, “Not enough apparently.”

“Oh, and you could make the fire pit glow different colors!” Mia says excitedly and I laugh shaking my head.” I’m not ready to discuss fire related things yet.” I tell them with a shiver thinking about earlier today.

They both nod in agreement, and Cole comes over and places his arm over Hazel’s shoulders. “You think we could ban everything fire related from the pack from now on. If I never see fire again, I’ll be happy. That was one of the scariest moments of my life.” Cole says kissing Hazel on the forehead and pulling her closer.

Walker walks up and wraps an arm around Mia’s waist, and I look over at Liam, as he continues to sulk in the corner. My eyes scrunch and I look over at Walker. ‘He wouldn’t talk to me.’ He privately mind-links me and I look at Liam again as he takes a swig of his beer and glares at Walker.

Seriously, what is wrong with him?

I walk over to him and go to sit down on his lap, but he pushes me off and throws me to the ground.

I look up at him in shock, as he glares down at me, and I hear Dallas growl from behind me.

Dallas reaches me, and picks me up, glaring at Liam like he’s about to kill him. “What the hell, Liam?” Dallas shouts, but Liam continues to glare at me.
