Chapter 19
He looks over at my face and his eyes go black for a moment, then they clear. I see his grip on my doorknob tighten, then he lets it go slowly, “You guys’ mind if I join?” Liam asks only looking at me. I haven’t really had time to think about everything that happened lately, but I look around the room. Everyone’s face makes me confused; I can’t tell what anyone is thinking, but then I realize all of Liam’s best friends are sitting in this room. I feel bad for taking all of them from him, and it’s not the first time. It happened yesterday to. “Yeah, come on in Liam.” I say nonchalantly, I don’t want to make this a bigger deal then it is. Liam did throw Clara off of me once he had time to react. Whatever, it’ll only be a couple hours and then they’ll all go home, except for Mia. I’m sure she plans on staying the night again.
Liam shuts the door and walks over to the couch, he starts to sit where I was, “Alms is sitting there.” Dallas says rudely, I don’t think he’s happy I let him stay. “It’s fine, I’ll sit on the floor.” I say, not wanting to make a big deal. I turn back to the tv, and finally get it all started up. When I turn back around Liam’s sitting on the floor between Dallas and Cole. I sigh, but just wanting to go with the flow I go and sit in my spot between Dallas and Mia. This is going to be a long two hours.
You’d think with five werewolves around me I wouldn’t get cold, but I think the fear of this stupid zombie movie has my nerves hyped up. I start to shiver a little and before I know it Dallas has a blanket wrapped around me, ” Thank you.” I whisper kindly, and he smirks. My eyes fall on Liam, who’s staring directly at me. I can’t read his face in the dark like this, granted I probably couldn’t anyway.
We actually end up watching another movie before everyone decides to leave. When I get up, I can still hear the music going on across the street. “Is your party still going on?” I ask Liam confused. You’d think with the main party throwers all gone, the party would have ended by now. Or Liam would have shut it down before coming over here. Isn’t he worried about them doing something to the house? He shrugs, “Probably, people don’t really care that we’re not there. A party is still a party regardless of if the hosts disappear. Free alcohol always helps. to.” He says seemingly unbothered, but I can see a hint of something else in his eyes.
Everybody, but Mia walks out, but Liam’s the last to leave. Before I can shut the door, he blocks it open with his foot. He slowly puts his fingers under my chin, moving my face so he can get a better look at my mark. It had to have gone down by now right? No way was it still bad. Liam pulls my face so we’re staring eye to eye, way too close for comfort. “I know you won’t believe me, but I really am sorry.” He says kindly then lets me go and goes to follow his friends over to his house. Leaving me to stand there and stare after them.
When I turn around, I see Mia frozen in place as she was making her way back over to me from the kitchen. Seriously, did you do something to all of them? I won’t be mad. I just need to know so I can have some of whatever it is you’re giving them.” She says jokingly. I grab a pillow off the couch and throw it at her face. “Shut up! You know me better than that. I have no idea what’s going on!” I yell frustrated falling over the back of the
couch onto the cushions.
