Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 190

Chapter 190

+25 Bonus

Liam and I finally emerge from the room hand and hand. We spent three days in complete bliss without a single incident. I’d say that’s a win, hopefully everybody else will too.

We instantly run into Dallas, who still has an undecided look on his face. “It’s been three days.” I tell him and Liam’s hand tightens on mine. Dallas looks between us, his jaw clenching.

I know this is hard for him. Liam and him were friends long before him and me, but his nature requires him to protect me. While he’d still protect Liam if I weren’t in danger his main priority is me.

“Yeah. Maybe.” He responds and I shake my head. “If their goal is for Liam to kill me, this would have been a good opportunity.” I explain and Dallas swallows. “I know.” He whispers, looking at me like he has no idea what to do.

I let go of Liam’s hand and walk up to Dallas, pulling him in for a hug. “You know I love how protective you are, but the ring is working. We’d know by now if it weren’t.” I tell him.

He squeezes me closer to him and sighs deeply. “I know. I’ll try and back off a little bit, but I’m still going to be close.” Dallas tells me and I nod. “Fine.”

I let go of Dallas and walk back to Liam who’s staring at Dallas. “Really close.” Liam tells him and I close my eyes and shake my head. “Liam…” I start, but Liam cuts me off. “I’ve already told you; I’m not risking your life.” He tells me, and I continue to shake my head, “So when do you think you’ll get over this?” I ask him.

He looks at me like he’s not sure. “At least until we find the witch that’s doing this.” Liam tells me, setting a new goal for myself today.

Finding the witch.

I don’t finish walking to Liam. I nod, then turn walking towards the office to get started.

Dallas follows me in here, but Liam walks downstairs, probably to make sure I get some food. We haven’t eaten in three days. They brought us food, but we were too busy to eat.

I go to sit behind my desk, while Dallas sits in front of it. “What are you thinking?” Dallas asks. I look up at him considering.

I look at the door to make sure no ones coming in. “The explosion, Liam. Someone’s trying to kill me. It all started after the ball, but what if that was just a cover?” I ask and he tilts his head. “You think it’s someone from the pack?” He asks, and I shrug.

“Maybe, they’ve wanted to hurt me for awhile and the ball just finally gave them a way to do it without being caught? I don’t know why anyone out of the pack would want me dead. Liam doesn’t have any enemies. It just doesn’t make sense.” I explain my thoughts and Dallas shakes his head.
