Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192

I haven’t felt the fog since I put on this ring, and that feels amazing. Things are finally getting back to the status quo, other than Amy’s obsession with finding the witch. Though it’s not really surprising. I know I would be the same as her if rules were reversed.

I want to find the witch too, but at the moment I have other pack business to work on, and we have no leads. I need to train Griffon some more, so he’ll be here soon.

I’ll let Amy work on the witch situation for the time being. Which is where she is now, with Walker, Hazel, Dallas and Nick. As long as she’s not alone.

I don’t like her putting herself in danger, but I know she won’t listen to me if I tell her to stop, so I’ll just make sure she has people around her. Not that I have to do much, our family has always come through for each other. I’d say I chose a perfect family. One Amy and I can love, trust and always feel safe with.

The door to the office opening catches my attention and I look up to see Griffon walking in. His face grim and he’s walking slowly over to the seat in front of my desk.

Amy wants me to talk to him. See if anything’s bothering him, but Dallas tells me that he was rude to her, which is unacceptable. But I’ll have to put that aside for now if I want him to open up to me.

He sits down and looks over at me, I smile. “You ready?” I ask him and he grunts. There’s definitely something wrong with him.

We work for hours, teaching him some of the secret workings of the pack and things he has to know in order to be a successful Alpha. Including some of the businesses we own in order to keep the pack afloat. It’s going to take a lot more than this one day of training for him to get the hang of everything, but it’s a start.

Amy will have to work with Nadia here soon, as soon as Griffon marks her. Hopefully, they’ll be in better standings with each other when that happens.

I’m very hopeful she’s not the one actually trying to hurt Amy. It just seems too farfetched to me. I think she’s just uncomfortable, not sure how to talk to all these new people she has to meet. Plus, if it is her, that’ll put everybody in a shitty situation.

She’ll have to die, and that’ll kill Griffon, maybe not physically but his soul. So, the most we’ll be able to do is lock her up, but knowing mates, Griffon might try and release her, especially once he takes over. Which will be good for no one involved. I’m just really hoping Amy’s feeling about her is wrong, so we can avoid all of that.

Griffon looks tired and ready to be done, “I suppose that’s enough for today. Did you have any questions?” I ask him and he lets out a deep sigh, “No.” He tells me.

I nod my head and motion for the door, “Same time tomorrow.” I tell him, but he doesn’t move. Just sits there looking at the papers on my desk.

“Something you want to talk about?” I ask and his jaw ticks, before he looks up at me. “With you and mom, once you knew about the mate bond. Like when it actually clicked into place, we’re you able to be away from her?” He asks, and I look at him concerned.

“Eventually. It gets easier to be apart, but at first, we didn’t want to be. Letting her go deal with her dad alone, nearly drove me insane, but that’s not really a good comparison to most mate bonds.” I tell him and he purses

his lips.

“So, it was hard for you to not want to be with her?” He asks, and I tilt my head. “It’s still hard. I never don’t want to be with her. Now, we just respect the fact that we have different responsibilities and will have to be apart every once in awhile.”

He nods and looks over at Amy’s desk. “Which is why she couldn’t have her own office?” He asks and a sly smile crosses my face, as I think about the day I told her we would be sharing. She didn’t have any issue with it though, and if she had, I’m sure she would have won that fight. I don’t win many of our small arguments.

I nod. He nods and looks at the ground. I sigh, “Griff. You don’t need to compare bonds and especially not your mothers and mine. We had known each other since we were babies and loved each other long before the bond snapped into place. We weren’t working with absolutely nothing when we finally bonded.” I tell him and he looks at me intently.

“Do you know anyone who has?” He asks and I nod. “Dallas and Nick, Hazel and Cole. Are a few.” I tell him and he looks at me like I know his next question.

“Nick and Dallas had issues at the beginning, but that was my fault. They still wanted to bond. Hazel and Cole didn’t really have any issues. What’s going on, Griff?” I ask him and he takes a deep breath.

“I don’t know. Everything I’ve ever heard or seen about mates has been different than what I’m experiencing. She disappears and doesn’t tell me. She won’t let me touch her, more than holding her hand. I don’t think she wants this bond and that scares the living shit out of me.” He explains and I swallow.
