Chapter 225
I speed through the footage, not worrying about when I see us all together, or really even when we’re alone. Focusing on when it’s nighttime or Griffs around Nadia.
Nadia’s gone to the game room several times, I’m convinced she’s involved somehow. I just wish I knew more.
We never see the witch leave the panic room. Not once, we don’t even see her move her things in, maybe Nadia was helping her somehow with all of that.
I’ve sped through the parts where Liam’s hexed, honestly not being able to watch it again myself.
Going through it all like this is making things go a lot faster, and if we don’t find anything we’ll go back and let it all play out. I just don’t want to spend the time if I don’t have to.
I pause when I see Liam sleeping on our bed, and someone walks in the room.
It’s not me.
I glance over at Dallas, my teeth clenched then rub my head with my fingers. “I don’t think I can watch this.” I whisper and he looks at me sadly, before grabbing the laptop and turning it away from me.
We need to watch it, we need to see who it was, but… I just can’t.
Dallas turns the volume down as soon as Liam says my name, making me cringe and close my eyes.
I hate that this happened to him. I hate that it’s just another thing he’s going to feel guilty about for the rest of
his life.
Dallas gasps, pausing the video and doing something to it before pushing it back towards me.
I take a deep breath, raising my eyes. “She’s wearing a mask but look.” He says, and I hesitantly do, and when I see what Dallas has zoomed in on, all I see is red.
My necklace.
Sitting around the neck of the girl, that raped my mate.
Nadia had my necklace, but I had it when this happened.
I jump out of bed as quickly as I can with my muscles protesting and wound pulling. I clench my teeth, walking through the pain on the way to the office with Dallas right behind me.
Liam, Walker and Cole all look up at me when I come in the room, but I don’t pay them any mind as I walk to my
desk.
“Dallas. Why’d you let her get out of bed?” Liam asks Dallas angrily as he starts heading closer to me. I take a seat behind my desk and take a few deep breaths, trying to regain my composure since getting here actually took a lot more out of me than I thought it would.
Liam’s glare hardens on Dallas as he takes in my state, but even Dallas ignores him as he waits for me to check the drawer.
“What’s going on?” Walker asks walking up behind Liam with Cole beside him. Dallas looks at Walker then at

Liam with a grimace, clearly not wanting to bring up the part of the videos we’ve gotten to.
“The necklace.” Is all Dallas says, then I open the drawer and see there’s nothing there. My eyes widen and I start opening all my drawers to see if I maybe put it in a different one. Once I’m done, and all the drawers hang wide open, I look back up at all of them.
Dallas takes a deep breath as I shake my head. “That’s not possible. We didn’t see anyone come in here.” I whisper.
Liam looks at me confused, “What are you guys talking about?” He asks, and I look at him sadly. “The girl.” I say through gritted teeth, “She was wearing my necklace. It’s gone.” I tell him and his face takes a form of understanding.
He nods considering, “That explains why I couldn’t find anyone after I left the room. They disappeared.” He says barely speaking. I nod, “But how did they get it?” He asks, and I shake my head, looking back down at the drawers. “I don’t know.”
I look up and see the voicemail light blinking on my phone. I’ve been so distracted lately, I’ve barely thought of anything Luna related other than helping the pack by finding the witch.
All the boys start discussing ways that someone would get in here, but I’m starting to get the feeling that this is something the witch can do.
I have no idea what their capabilities are, and honestly Hazel isn’t much help in that regard either. She hasn’t worked with dark magic, so she doesn’t know a ton about it.
I push play, listening to the messages, a few from the builders working on the new development and a few just from concerned pack members. I push the save button, telling myself I’ll get back to them. “Messages deleted.” The robot voice tells me, and I purse my lips annoyed at myself.
I go to my deleted messages to switch them to saved and realize there’s one more in this folder than I listened to.
It gives you a week to refile the messages in case you mess something up, but I haven’t even looked at my phone recently, let alone gotten rid of any messages.
I move them all to the saved folder and then listen through til I find the last one.
“What are you doing?” Dallas asks me, and I hold up a finger trying to listen.
“Luna, Amy. We need to speak with you. Something’s happening and it’s important. Please call us as soon as you can.” I look at the caller id and my blood runs cold.
The Matthews.
Everybody in the room stops talking and looks at me. “What was the date.” Liam asks, looking at my phone like it’s personally offending him.
