Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25

I see Mia walk out into the waiting room, looking everywhere but at us. She seems nervous, so I stand and walk over to her. The rest of the guys follow, but Mia seems really distraught. I wish they’d let us see her; I just need to see with my own two eyes that she’s okay. Everybody’s being super secretive about what happened, and no one’s saying anything about her condition. We just know she’s here, but none of us know why.

“Mia, what’s going on? Can we see her now?” Dallas asks. He’s really not doing okay, it’s like he isn’t being aloud to see the love of his life. I don’t have it in me right now to be upset though, I just need to know she’s okay. Mia looks down at the ground. “She’s okay now, but…” She’s taking way to long. “Spit it out Mia.” I say angrily. She looks up and glares at me. “Fine Liam. She wants all of you to leave. She doesn’t want to see any of you right now.” She says to the point. Why wouldn’t she want to see us? I thought things were finally being fixed between us. Every time she laughs or jokes or smiles it felt like it was fixing something within our group we didn’t even know was broken.

Dallas takes the words directly from my head, “Why wouldn’t she want to see us?” He seems lost and keeps looking over Mia’s shoulder, like Amy will just walk out of those doors and greet us. “This is bullshit.” I say as I push past Mia and start following Amy’s scent to her room. I feel Mia grab my arm, but she can’t do anything to stop me. I can feel Dallas in tow, right behind me. Mia isn’t following anymore so I can only assume Walker or Cole held her back. I push open her door and wasn’t prepared for what I saw.

The nurse had Amy’s torso unclothed checking her injuries. Her ribs and stomach were completely red and purple. I look up and see her eye swollen shut with the same red and purple bruise covering it. Her arm has a cast on covering her whole arm just passed her elbow. She seems to be sleeping. The nurse covers her body quickly once she notices us in the room, I look over at Dallas and see the fear and anger in his eyes, matching mine. Who the fuck did this to her? I’m going to kill somebody. I can feel my whole body shaking when someone puts their hand on my shoulder. I’m ready to rip it off, until I look and see it’s Amy’s mom, Heather. I can see the redness in her eyes from crying, but other than that she seems to be keeping it together.

Before I can open my mouth Mia rushes in, “Heather, Amy told me she doesn’t want to see anyone, just me and you. She asked me to tell them to leave. They need to leave.” She rushes, coming to stand next to Heather. Fuck. I don’t know if I should be upset or happy that Amy has such a protective friend. At the moment I’m angry. Heather looks over at us skeptically and raises an eyebrow. “Well, sorry boys. I think we should all respect Amy’s wishes while she’s still recovering. Don’t you?” She asks knowing when she words it like that, we can’t say no.

Dallas and I both leave the room. He’s silently fuming as we walk back into the waiting room. He doesn’t bother stopping and walks past Walker and Cole, leaving the hospital. We all watch him leave and when the door closes behind him, Walker speaks up, “Was it that bad?” I go to sit down, because my wolf is walking around in circles in my head, giving me a headache. He wants to kill whoever hurt her, but we don’t have a target yet.
