Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 252

Chapter 252

Dallas and I ride to the pack in complete silence. I can see the nerves start to itch at him as we get closer. He’s rubbing at his thighs and rolling his shoulders, like he can shake the weight of everything he’s done off.

I glance over, then put my hand on his thigh. He freezes and looks over at me, “They don’t hate you.” I whisper to him, and he shakes his head. “They have every right to hate me. The things I’ve done…” He grits his teeth and shakes his head.

“She’ll never forgive me for letting her son turn into this man.” He whispers, turning his head and looking out the window. I shake my head, “That wasn’t your fault, Dallas.” I tell him, but his jaw just tightens further. “I could have done more to stop it, instead I helped him.”

He throws his head into his hands. “Nick…” He whispers and I swallow. “Look, I’m not saying you don’t have work to do, but you can do it. Amy will forgive you. You just have to prove your sorry.” I tell him.

A small scoff leaves his lips, and he looks over at me, “You really have grown up.” He whispers and I smile. “You have no idea.”

We make it through the gates, them knowing me and my car. I drive through the streets until I make it to the house that has never felt like home and look up at it.

I take a deep breath, knowing things are about to get really interesting here in a couple minutes. Dallas does the same and clutches at his thighs.

We slowly get out of the car, and I grab Dallas’s hand. He looks down at our joined hands and grimaces. “Why? After everything I did to you. After the way I treated you.” He asks and I shrug. “I rarely hold grudges, Dallas. I also know it wasn’t you giving the orders.” I tell him and he sighs, “Maybe not, but I didn’t have a problem with most of them.” He whispers.

I shrug again, “Grief is funny. You never know how you’ll react, and honestly while I hate the things you and Griffon have done. I do believe you both were just scared. Scared about what happened and having seen the worst, scared about what else could happen. You both went about it wrong, but losing someone you love… Especially when you blame yourself, it’s unpredictable.” I tell him and he swallows as he tries to hold back the tears that are glistening in his eyes.

We both take another deep breath and make our way up the stairs to the porch and stand at the door. I wait there, letting him prepare himself. This is going to be a lot.

He finally gives me a slight nod, and I reach out to open the door.

I walk inside and everybody turns to stare at us. Hazel, Cole, Finn and Randy, all made it here, and that relaxes me knowing that. They all sit around our living room, still looking like they’re going to pass out from fear. My dad sitting next to Cole, his eyes narrowed behind me.

Heather, Micah and my mom walk out from the kitchen. Fresh baked cookies in hand. Everyone just stares behind me.

My mom shocked and my dad pissed. I look down realizing I probably should have changed when I see my dad’s eyes look over me and his eyes turn murderous.

“If he had anything to do with the marks on your body, he is not welcome in my house.” My dad growls, and I

feel Dallas stiffen next to me.

I shake my head, and my mom gasps, “Griffon hurt you?” She whispers and I look over at her shaking my head. ” You know me. I managed to do this myself. Neither of them touched me.” I tell them with a smirk on my face, trying to make light of the situation.

My dad’s teeth grind together, but he doesn’t say anything else. My mom walks into the room and sets the cookies on the coffee table, before turning back to me and hugging me tightly. I wince as my stomach recoils from her, not quite healed enough yet. She pulls away with an apologetic look, placing her hand on my cheek. You did it.” She whispers and I shake my head. “This isn’t over yet.” I whisper back and her face twist in

confusion.

I haven’t told anyone but Hazel, and clearly, she hasn’t told anyone either. I let go of Dallas’s hand, leaving him standing awkwardly by the door, and walk over to the group sitting on the arm of the chair next to my dad.

I grip his shoulder, and look between all these people back together, when the basement door opens.

Nick walks through the door and immediately stiffens. I swallow, thinking he was at work. Not really prepared for this moment yet. Nick and Dallas’s eyes freeze on one another, and I swear time stands still as I watch the emotions cross each of their faces.

Nick finally breaks it, turning towards us and glaring at me. “Why is he here?” He growls and I grimace. Looking at him with pity and clenching my teeth. “We need all the help we can get.” I whisper, and he shakes his head.

Heather creeps further into the room and tilts her head, “For what, Aspen?” She whispers and all eyes turn

towards me.

I swallow roughly and look at each of their faces before I close my eyes and get ready for the chaos that’s about
