Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 263

Chapter 263

“Everybody get the fuck out.” I shout at all of them.

I ask one fucking thing, for them to leave her out of it, and I come back to find her on the fucking floor while they stand around shouting at each other.

“Liam.” Mia starts, but the look I give her has her nodding and starting to leave.

I hold onto Amy, trying to process what she said to me. The witch is fucking talking to her. Goddess.

I remember the memory of when we saw her dad arguing with someone inside his head.

I pick her up and take her over to her bed, as she clings to me and hides her face in my chest. I can’t believe this is happening. I thought we were done. I thought we had killed her, but we played right into her hands. Gave her exactly what she wanted.

Everybody leaves except for Dallas, and I make myself okay with that, considering he was the only one that seemed to be trying to help her.

When I sit her down on the bed, she looks up at me scared. “Liam. It’s only going to get worse. What do we do?” She begs me for the answers I don’t have. Then grabs her head, like she’s in pain.

Her face falls, and I force her to look at me. “What’s happening?” I ask her and she grimaces. “She says there’s nothing we can do.” She whispers and I squeeze my eyes shut.

Fuck! Maybe this is a dream, and I’ll wake up soon and everything will be better.

I nearly jump out of my skin when I hear Aspen’s voice come from behind Dallas. “There has to be something. There’s always a loophole. Always.” Aspen whispers and I look over to see her sitting in a chair in the corner.

“Are you sensing something? Or hearing something? Fuck, I don’t know how your whatever works.” I ask her and she shakes her head. “No. But there’s always a way. I mean, you guys have dealt with this before.” She tells me, and I growl. “Yes, which ended in her father dying and her almost dying with him. Even with us trying to save him.” I tell her, and she takes a deep breath.

She looks over at Amy, “Hazel’s right. You need to worry about yourself. I’ll deal with all the other problems. I’ll fix it.” She whispers, and Dallas scoffs.

We all look at him and he shakes his head, “I’m sorry, but what’s happened with all of us can’t be fixed. We’re all broken. The only way to make things calm down around here is to send Griffon and I away.” He says sadly, looking over at Amy like he can’t imagine being apart from her again.

Amy shakes her head and grabs his hand. “No. That’s not happening. I need both of you.” She answers and that’s enough for me.

I look over at her. “It’s not an option anyway. We have to go home. We have to fix what our son broke, but more importantly we need Hazel’s books. We’ll figure this out alone if no one else wants to go back. I’m sure we can find a witch willing to help if Hazel can’t be around Griffon.” I tell them.

After hearing enough of what Griffon has done, I’m utterly disappointed in him, but it’s also not my biggest concern. And if Amy needs Griff to be around, then he will be.

“I’ll go back with you.” Aspen tells me, and I nod. “Good. I’ll need you to keep an eye on her aura or whatever it is you see and warn me if it starts to get worse.” I tell her and she nods, and smiles like she’s glad she can do something to help.

I close my eyes and shake my head, squeezing Amy’s hand in mine. “We’re going to be okay. We’re going to figure all this out and you’re finally going to get to live a stress-free life. Amy, I.” She cuts me off, “Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Liam. I hope with all my heart that it’s true, but I also know our track record and I don’t want to get my hopes up.” She whispers and my face falls at how much I’ve failed her in this life.

She must realize where my thoughts went, because her face falls to pity, “Look, it’s not just what we’re going through. The witch said whatever she did was stronger than what was done to my father. And the Goddess told me, that she sent my mother to take care of him. Unless we figure this out, she’s probably going to send someone to come after me as well. I don’t think she’ll wait this time. So, we’re not only fighting against the red moon timeline, but we are also going to be fighting against the Goddess soon too. I just don’t like our odds.” She whispers and my heart sinks.
