Chapter 266
Hazel and Cole don’t stay in the office for long. Hazel announcing they’re going to go see what books they have that’ll help with all this.
Griffon tells everyone else that there’s food waiting for us in the dining room, and everyone except Griffon, Liam and I go.
Liam walks over to Griffon’s desk, and forces him to move. Griffon stands up and Liam sits down. Griffon stares at him. “What does this mean? I’m not an Alpha anymore?” He asks, and I’m honestly not sure.
I don’t know if Liam will want to take back his position or just help him fix the wrongs of what he’s done.
I look over at Liam, as he starts rummaging through everything on the desk. He grunts frustrated as Griffon continues to stare at him. “I don’t know, Griffon.” He growls and then stands up and looks out the giant window overlooking the pack.
I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his waist and look out at the pack with him. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and keeps me close to his chest.
I know his mind is reeling over everything that we’re dealing with. I know he’s thinking of all the things that need to be done to fix the pack and to fix me… And I know he’s having an issue handing the pack over to Griffon for good after we’ve had a sneak preview of how he’ll run the pack.
We see people looking over at the packhouse a crowd forming at the doors. “They know you’re here. They want to see you.” Griffon says from behind us, and I glance up at Liam.
He shakes his head, “Not yet. I… Just not yet.” He tells me and I nod, accepting he’s not ready yet.
“Okay first things first. Since Hazel is looking for all the right books, Amy you need to go eat while I start getting some of the things with Griffon and the pack situated. Griffon tell Dallas to come back here to help her get there.” Liam tells him, Griffon nods.
I look at him, “I can help.” I tell him and he shakes his head. “I know you can, but I want you to relax and heal. Fucking eat. I can’t stand seeing you like this.” He growls and I look down.
I want to make a joke about him not loving me super skinny, but I can’t. Because I can hardly blame him. I look like a skeleton with skin.
The reason why should be embarrassing for me, but I still wish I would have been able to accomplish what I had planned to do before they found us.
Dallas appears at the door, and I walk over to kiss Liam and hug Griffon, then shut the door behind me. I know from experience; I won’t be seeing them for awhile.
Dallas grabs my hand and starts leading me through the maze of halls, and I just take it all in. Trying to memorize everything.
He sits me down at the end of the table, and everyone is just eating being completely silent. I don’t really know what to say. What to do. I know they don’t blame me, but on some level this is my fault right?
I should have fought harder back then. Should have forced Clara to leave. Should have found the witch before it was too late.

‘If it makes you feel any better, Clara was just a stepping stone. What we used to gain access to you. If not her; we would have found another way to get to you. It was always about getting to you.’ The witch says. I close my eyes and grab the side of my head.
Her voice is like a constant headache. How my dad survived this for as long as he did is beyond me.
Food appears in front of me, and I grab my fork, but end up just pushing it around my plate. My mind going blank as I just continue to stare at my food.
“I’ll have them make something else.” Dallas says, grabbing my plate.
I look up at him confused, then look at the empty table. When did everyone leave?
“Where’d everyone go?” I ask him and his eyes furrow. “They left twenty minutes ago, Aims. They told you.” He
says.
