Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 279

Chapter 279

We walk into the room the witch tortured Amy in, the smell of her blood overwhelms us, and Griffon has to close his eyes to calm himself down.

It’s dried to the chair and crusted to the ground. Apparently, they weren’t big on cleaning. My teeth grit as I look around the room seeing different torture equipment. I only dreamt a small amount of what she went through; I don’t think I would have lasted as long as Amy did.

Her will to make sure everyone was safe was insane. I can’t believe she went through all of this in order to make it happen, then to just fall down the rabbit’s hole anyway.

It’s one reason I don’t think I’ll ever want kids. Amy was willing to let Liam and Julia be tortured while she watched just to let it all be for nothing when she thought Heather was going to be the next victim.

In retrospect, we didn’t think that through. What sending Heather into the cells would mean for Amy. It was probably the only person in her life that she knew couldn’t handle what was happening.

Don’t get me wrong, Heather is strong, but to be tortured like that takes a different type of power, one I feel Heather is too kind for, and I think Amy knew that as well. Heather has never really known hardship. Sure, she was around with the moon man, but she even says herself she doesn’t really remember that time well, plus they hid her and Griffon away so the worst of it was lost to them.

She’s a seeing the world through rose colored glasses kind of girl and that and torture don’t normally go hand and hand.

I stand there and stare at the room while Griffon follows my lead, and everyone else starts searching around the room. You know the reason we’re all here, but I can’t seem to make my feet move.

This might even be too much for me.
