Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 282

Chapter 282

My blood is boiling as I push this piece of shit down the stairs. He was part of my parents being tortured and on top of all my feelings towards that, I can’t stop seeing Aspen’s crying face from replaying in my mind.

I think I’ve seen her cry a total of about three times the entire time I known her. She doesn’t like to show weakness. She doesn’t like to be seen that way, which is why I sent all her friends out of the room. I could tell they were worried about her, and whatever it was she saw that made her react that way, but I also know her.

I think the only thing that had her accepting my comfort was the mate bond, normally she’d want to deal with it all by herself. I’m glad she let me help though; I don’t think I could have handled it if she wouldn’t have let me comfort her when she was having so many emotions.

I’m terrified by what she saw, I didn’t even see it myself but seeing her so rattled tells me all I need to know. Whatever vision she had can not come true. We have to find something to stop this.

Norman feels around until he finds the stone that will let us back into the torture room. Once he finally does and the door slides open, I continue to push the man through.

He’s not grunting or even fighting. He’s strangely relaxed.

We put him in the chair where my mother was tortured. Where her blood lays dried and crusted against the iron and on the floor. Though now I smell a mixture of my entire family’s blood excluding mine and Heather’s. The things they went through down here.

I don’t think I can handle knowing what happened to my grandpa down here, I can barely handle what happened to the rest of them, and they’ve spared details.

Details of with I’m guessing my mate is privy to, having seen it happening in her dreams. She shouldn’t have to have that in her mind. I don’t understand why she can do the things she can do, and even though her dreams saved my parents lives, I wish she didn’t have to suffer through it. I wish I could take that burden from her, just like I wish it had been me in this chair rather than my mother.

I glare at the man in the chair. I know he’s not who took her from our pack and probably not even the one who tortured her, but he helped. He held my father and grandma down while he injected them with wolfsbane and drew their blood.

The blood currently covering the very ground I’m walking on.

I rip the tape off his mouth, “Start spouting witchy nonsense, I’ll rip your throat out before you can finish.
