Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 327

I should be scared.

Silver chains circle my wrist and ankles, burning my skin. My teeth grinding together as I try to ignore the pain. Five witches coming from thin air, and grabbing the both of us.

I should be scared, but all I can see is Amy’s face in the cell across from me. And the only thing frightening me is the composure she’s holding… Not Amy… The witch.

She’s been the witch for days now, this hasn’t changed that. She hasn’t brought her forward to deal with whatever this is. I’d think they were here to help her, but why would they have her in a cell across from me. Iron and silver laced around her.

No. They’re not here to help her, that much is clear.

“Amy.” I whisper towards her.

I still haven’t figured out how to coax her back when the witch takes over, but I still try nonetheless.

Amy’s eyes slowing move to look at me. “Dals, you know she’s not here.” She says calmly, her eyes staying focused on me. “Let her come out.” I growl, my hand landing on the silver bars.

I hiss, pulling back my hands. How Liam’s handle this pain so well is beyond me.

A slow smile curves her lips, “Oh, puppy. You really are adorable. If it matters, I’m team Dallas. You seem to care about her much more than the mate that’s left her to rot.”

A snarl leaves my lips, “You have no idea what you’re talking about.”

She shrugs, “I just know what I’ve seen. You refuse to leave her side as her mate frolics around ‘trying’ to help her.” She puts quotations around trying like she has any idea what he’s going through.

“I think the mate thing is ridiculous. You’re telling me just because your ‘Goddess’ gives you someone to claim that you have to choose them? When there are always better options out there.” She says, her head tilting to the side like she’s honestly curious of the answer.

“Amy and Liam were set in stone long before the mate bond came into effect. Before the Goddess even handed them a mate they had already chosen each other. Besides it’s not forced. They could have rejected one another.” I tell her, my anger at her words overclouding what we really should be concerned about right now.

She shrugs, “Is that what you wanted? For her to reject him.” She asks, and I roll my eyes. “Amy is my family. I love her enough to die for her, but I love my mate. I’ve never been in love with Amy.” I growl, surprising myself at the admission. I don’t think I’ve let myself think the love I had for Nick was back in case he didn’t want it, but I’m just being a coward.

Her tongue ticks, “Yeah… That’s what she said too.” She takes a sharp intake of air, “Too bad. We could have had some fun together.” She tells me, and my teeth clamp down harder.
