Chapter 47
The guard they have placed in front of Amy’s house is one of my fathers’ best warriors. I know I won’t be able to sneak passed him. I walk up to him, “Hey, Dimitri.” I greet him and he looks at me skeptically, but soon gives me a knowing smile. “Hey, Liam. What can I do for you?” He asks, the look on his face telling me he can read right through me. I don’t get nervous often, but lately with Amy I have started feeling that way. “Amy, called and wanted me to come over for a minute.” It’s all I could think of, hopefully it works. “Really? Her mom said there wouldn’t be any more visitors for the night.” Dimitri says skeptically. Fuck. I shrug and he smiles at me. He throws his head towards the door, and chuckles, “Don’t get caught. I’ll say I had no idea and beat your ass if she wants me to.” I smile and race for the door, I hear Dimitri huff and say “kids” under his breath. As I make my way quietly up the stairs and to Amy’s door.
I peek in and Amy has her headphones in at her desk working on her schoolwork. I decide not to dwell on it, because I told her I wouldn’t. She thinks she doesn’t belong here, but I’m going to do whatever I can to prove her wrong. She’s wearing that same pajama outfit that she had on the night she came to my party, but I can only tell from her bottoms because my hoodie is around her torso. I wanted to grab her and take her upstairs then, now there’s no one here to stop me, and the fact that she’s wearing my hoodie makes it even worse. That thought frightens me and I consider leaving, then Amy looks over and jumps out of her chair. She realizes it’s me and loudly breathes out a breath of air. “What are you doing here, Liam?” She whispers, I smile. “Couldn’t sleep.” I answer, she smiles and looks down at her desk. She covers her homework, seemingly trying to hide the evidence. “Yeah, me either. Truth or dare helped, but I still can’t stop thinking about that story.” She tells me and I walk further into the room closing the door. She looks behind me, like she’s a caged animal looking for a way to escape. I can’t tell if it’s because the story really got to her that bad, or because she’s fully awake in her pajamas alone with me.
“Why couldn’t you sleep?” She asks trying to clear the tension. I answer honestly, “I couldn’t stop thinking about you.” I say getting closer to her, she seems to calm down the closer I get to her. Which doesn’t make much sense, but I’ll take it. I pull her into my arms and just like when we were dancing, her body melts to mine. Damn, I love when she does that. I pull her head up so she’s looking into my eyes. “Liam.” She says breathlessly, and that’s all it took, the sound of my name on her lips. My lips go crashing down on hers. I turn my head to get better access and urge her to open her mouth with my tongue. She lets out a small whimper and I take advantage and slid my tongue in, tasting all of her. My hands fall to her hips and I pull her tighter against my body. Her arms wrap around my neck, pulling me closer to her mouth. I’ve never had a kiss feel like this, every second it goes on I just want more and more. Electricity running from my lips to my toes, I can’t get enough of her. I push her against the wall gently, covering the back of her head so I don’t hurt her. She groans into my mouth as I press my hips into her. Fuck. I can feel my wolf pushing for more, and I want more too, I have to stop this. I know she’s not ready for more, regardless of how bad I want it.
I pull away from her, and we’re both breathing heavily. Her cheeks are red, and she’s acting shy. It’s so cute, but I have to resist. I lean down and give her a small kiss on the lips and then on the forehead, and I move away. I suddenly feel empty without her body pressed against mine. She looks into my eyes and just stares at me. “I couldn’t stop thinking about being your first kiss. I want to be your first and last. Goodnight Amy.” I say and leave as quickly as I came. I don’t want to leave, but I’m literally shaking holding back my wolf. I have to go, before I do something she’s not ready for.
