Kade’s lips curved slightly, and the way he looked at me carried a layer of meaning he didn’t bother to hide. “I wouldn’t want to let Miss Soren down after all that trust.”
I didn’t respond to that, just pressed my lips together briefly and shifted my attention back to the auction floor, because whatever he meant by that wasn’t something I needed to unpack right now. What mattered was the room, the energy, and how quickly everything had turned, in my favor.
After Vincent’s disruption, the outcome had already become obvious to me. If anything, he had just handed me exactly what I needed, attention, validation, and a room full of buyers who now believed in Z1 more than ever.
The shift was immediate once the verification results were confirmed. The hesitation that had lingered earlier disappeared completely, replaced by urgency and confidence, and that translated directly into numbers.
Bids started climbing fast.
“Five hundred fifty thousand.”
“Six hundred.”
“Six fifty.”
Voices overlapped, paddles went up without pause, and no one was holding back anymore. The competition was real now, not cautious probing, but aggressive bidding driven by fear of missing out.
I watched it all unfold, calm and focused, taking in every reaction, every decision, and every spike in price. This was exactly how a product established itself, not just through quality, but through perception, through momentum, through controlled chaos that made people feel like they had to act now or regret it later.
Kade leaned slightly closer, his voice low enough that only I could hear it. “So, does this meet your expectations?”
A faint smile settled on my lips. “It does.”
By the time the final results came in, the remaining nine Z1 capsules had sold at an average
of six hundred thousand each, and the last one had gone all the way up to eight hundred

thousand before the hammer dropped. Even as the auction wrapped up, I could still hear people around us complaining under their breath, frustrated they hadn’t managed to secure
one.
That dissatisfaction was exactly what I needed for the next step.
I turned slightly toward Kade and gave him a quiet instruction, and he understood immediately, signaling the auctioneer without asking for clarification.
Moments later, she stepped forward again, her tone noticeably more animated as she addressed the room. “Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve just received an update. The lead researcher behind Z1 is thrilled with today’s response and has decided to release a brand–new formula at next month’s auction, X1.”
The reaction was instant and exactly as expected. Conversations erupted across the room, speculation spreading faster than facts.
“If Zl is already this effective, what’s X1 going to be like?”
“Is it stronger?”
“Whatever it is, I’m not missing the next auction.”
Near the exit, Vincent hadn’t left yet, and I caught the exact moment realization hit him. His expression darkened, his eyes sharpening as his instincts flared, because by now even he understood what had happened.
He hadn’t sabotaged anything.
He had amplified it.
He’d walked straight into a setup and made it bigger.
If this hadn’t been a public venue, he probably would’ve already lost control.
On stage, the auctioneer continued smoothly, building on the rising anticipation. “Let me give you a brief preview. If Z1 is designed as a targeted wellness formula for female Lycans, then XI is a comprehensive formula suitable for all Lycans.”
The room quieted again, attention snapping back into place.
“It’s developed using advanced techniques and has undergone extensive testing. XI enhances wolf energy significantly, especially for aging Lycans or those recovering from illness. It helps restore strength quickly and efficiently.”

She paused just long enough to let the weight of that sink in before finishing with a confident smile. “To put it simply, XI may be the most valuable formula currently available.”
The response was immediate.
“That sounds way more practical than ZI.”
“If it works like that, everyone’s going to need it.”
“Next month is going to be insane.”
Nira’s POV:
After the auction officially ended, the crowd slowly began to disperse, still buzzing with excitement and speculation. Kade and I exited through a private passage, avoiding the main flow of people.
I held the box containing the manuscript close without really thinking about it, careful with every step, because I knew exactly how valuable what I was carrying was. Kade noticed, and a faint smile crossed his face.
“I’ll contact Harrison and let you know as soon as I hear back,” he said.
I nodded, then let out a small sigh, unable to completely hide the regret in my voice. “It would be even better if I could observe the restoration process in person.”
He let out a quiet laugh, clearly amused. “I don’t usually see you this invested in something. I’ll see what I can do.”
