Chapter 125 Pushing Forward
Nira’s POV:
The pharma project got stalled, and with no way to move it forward for now, I changed out of my lab clothes and headed back to campus.
The second I walked into Rowan’s lab, he lit up like he’d been waiting for me. “Nira, there you are. We pulled the experiment worked, and you had a lot to do with that.” He was so fired up he hadn’t even bothered to hide wolf ears.

an froze for a second, then stared at me like he was fecalculating everything he knew. “Second–year? We’re ely three months into the semester. You’re telling me you’ve already finished all your first–year material?”
I have.” I nodded, keeping it simple. I didn’t mention that I’d already worked through most of the second–year content too. There was no need to push it that far.

Eventually, he nodded. “Alright. I’ll approve it. If you can keep up with grad–level lab work, sophomore classes shouldn’t be a problem for you.”
“Thanks, Rowan.” I stood up, ready to leave. “I’ll head out then.”
“Hold on.” He stopped me and grabbed a journal off his desk, flipping it open before handing it over. “This is for our next project. It’s from Nature, top–tier publication. The data in here is as cutting–edge as it gets. It should give us a solid reference point.”

“Rowan, these figures took off tapped the Section in question.
He walked over immediately, leaning in beside me. “You’re sure? That’s from Nature.”

“I’m not saying it’s wrong for sure,” I said, keeping my tone measured, “but this kind of data needs full–scale recalculation to verify.”
His expression shifted, the excitement from earlier replaced by focus. He adjusted his glasses, already switching gears. “Then we rerun everything.”
I hesitated. “I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, I might not be able to-”
He cut me off with a quick wave. “You don’t need to stay. I’ll get access to a supercomputer and have my grad students handle the verification.”
That worked for me.

Between my responsibilities at Silvermoon Pack and everything tied to the Soren estate in Blazeborn Pack, my schedule was already stretched thin. I didn’t have the bandwidth to get pulled into another full–scale research process.
I was about to say goodbye when the door swung open.
“Rowan, where’d you hide my top student?” Alden’s voice/came in loud before he did.
He stepped inside, already looking annoyed, his eyes locking onto Rowan first before flicking over to me. The irritation in his expression shifted into something sharper
“Nira, why are you still here?” he asked, clearly not pleased. “The Shadowgrid Squad selection is next week. Shouldn’t you be preparing?”

That caught me off guard, and before I could answer, Rowan stepped in, his tone cooling. “Alden, what exactly are you implying? Nira’s my student too. Since when is being in my lab a waste of time?”
