Chapter 138 The Visit
Chapter 138 The Visit
Nira’s POV:
After officially joining Shadowgrid Squad, Agatha sent a car to pick me up from Howard Academy, saying she wanted me back at the Soren estate for a small celebration.
I had no real interest in going, but it was a good opportunity to check on Eli, so I got in anyway.

Damian seemed to catch the shift in my expression and continued, still composed. “Actually, I also wanted to address what happened at the banquet Valerie made assumptions without knowing the full story. I’ve already dealt with it, and I came today to apologize on her behalf,”
I nodded, but I didn’t relax. “If she knows she was wrong, she should be the one apologizing
“That’s fair,” he said without hesitation. “But she’s currently recovering after being disciplined at home, so I came in her place
He inclined his head slightly.
“As her brother, it’s my responsibility. I hope this doesn’t leave you with the wrong impression of the Flores family.”
I studied him quietly.
Everything he said sounded reasonable. Everything he did looked appropriate.
And yet none of it felt genuine.
Agatha quickly stepped in, helping him straighten with a light laugh. “You’re taking this too seriously, Damian. Nira isn’t someone who holds onto things like that. It’s already in the past.”
Damian straightened, his expression unchanged. “Even so, we were at fault. If Miss Soren is willing to forgive her, I’d appreciate it. If not, I’ll respect her decision.”
I had no intention of forgiving Valerie.
Agatha’s attitude didn’t matter to me.
But Damian did.
I kept my expression neutral and played along, even as a quiet sense of irritation settled in. There was something calculated about him, something just beneath the surface that didn’t sit right.
And I had a strong feeling this wasn’t just about an apology.
