Chapter 154 Moonlit Prayer
Kade’s POV:
My chest ached like it was splitting open, but I forced myself to stay calm and kept walking
I finally found a hidden cave.
I went in first to check every corner, then let Odin sniff around for danger. Once I was sure completely safe, I went back and carried Nira inside.
I laid her gently on the dry ground and checked her wounds again.
Her arm wound was pale from the river water, and my heart ached so bad I could barely breathe.
The poison in her arm had to come out fast. If it spread, it could kill her.
I settled her down and headed out to find moongrass nearby.
I wasn’t a healer, but I’d learned during harsh wilderness training as the Alpha King’s heir that moongrass could counter wolfsbane. I hoped it would work for this toxin too.
After searching for a while, I found a small patch of moongrass.
I rushed back to the cave, relieved to see Nira was still unconscious but stable.
I pulled a knife from my pack and sterilized it over the fire. I crushed the moongrass and dripped the juice into her mouth.
Then I carefully cleaned the rotting, poisoned tissue from her arm.
Blood ran down her arm, and sweat dripped from my forehead.
I moved slowly, careful not to hit any nerves or veins. I finally cleared all the dead, infected flesh.
I washed her wound clean and wrapped it with a strip torn from my shirt.
By the time I finished, my back was soaked through with sweat.
I’d always stayed calm under pressure, but this time I was shaking with nerves.
I let out a bitter laugh and sat on the ground, watching her sleep peacefully. I let out a long breath.
My method was rough and risky, but if she woke up, her own healing skills could fix everything else.
I silently prayed the moongrass would work, that she’d wake soon…
Later that night, I sat by the fire watching her.
I noticed her face looked off. I hurried over and touched her forehead.

Chapter 154 Moonlu Prayer
The worst had happened she had a fever.
Manic flooded me. I’d do anything to get the best doctors in the world here right now
But even Jett, my top beta, was unreachable.
Forced myself to stay calm. I found a big leaf, filled it with stream water, and kept dabbing her forehand
cool her down.
Hours passed, but her fever only got worse.
She mumbled in her sleep. I stripped off my shirt and pulled her close, using my body to cool her dow
She burned hot against me. It was uncomfortable, but I held her tight, letting my body be her only way cool off.
My heart raced. I brushed her forehead gently, my chest aching.
Nira, you have to hold on…” I whispered, my voice cracking without me noticing.
realized I cared about her far more than I thought.
rested her head on my shoulder and held her tight.
For the first time in my life, I stood under the full moon, one hand over my heart, and prayed to the Moon Goddess with all my heart.
Please protect her. Please give her strength. Please let her wake up safe…
